AVB is an honest man, and it's admirable (considering the handicaps the article highlights) that he's not a whinger... and he's certainly not a fraud.

I was not sure about AVB, but I like him now. I really appreciate his lack of whinging, that was the one think that always annoyed me about Harry. And AVB has had often more to whinge about than Harry usually did. AVB appears to just honestly say what he thinks, without much spin (trying to be positive, of course). The truth is often boring compared to wild rhetoric, so the press, who generally prefer to print ridiculous rumours, slander and outright lies, don't usually care for it.

Bahaha. Just American. Never really interested me outside of the World Cup. Not going to lie; I've played FIFA for years and loved the game. Last year I had a friend who actually followed so I looked around the league and made decisions on who I wanted to follow. It's definitely a lot more interesting when you pick a team. And thankfully to the internet I haven't missed many games.

Interestingly enough one of our big sports writers in the U.S. Bill Simmons wrote this article years before I started following and I've never regretted my decision.

Quite possibly the greatest article about anything I've ever read in my life. Not so sure about the Shakespeare references but other than that it was a joy to read. I'm from Ireland and remember (in 1980) deciding between Liverpool or Spurs as well. there were too many teams in red and too many Liverpool fans in Ireland so I just had a feeling about spurs, and never regretted it either (despite the multiple broken hearts that I managed to survive through since then). Well done sir!!!

Nice article. Should be used for a recruitment drive over there, but then I suppose we'd be a bandwagon club and fail one of Simmon's key criteria.
