There's been some suggestion that we may be in for Johnson because Forest are willing to take our deadwood in part exchange, not necessarily because he would be a top target independent of their interest in the players we want to shift.

Yeah personally he's not the one for me

Markets crazy but he's not £30m

Look at the players and fees paid this summer he's not in that bracket

He's never scored a goal against even the top opposition in Belgium and Gent finished 4/5 last season

His stats look good untill you look at who he scored against-I mentioned this In a previous post

I watched David vs Psg and Rennes looks much further ahead and still not sure

Brennan also look like a better bet if Brennan isn't 40m then orban is not 30m

And Brennan scored 16 and assisted 9 in the championship aged 20. Only other player to do that at the sane age is Sess but Brennan stepped up.

He’s instinctive and got a strong strike on him. The X factor.

But these clips do tend to back up my concerns about him and the lack of an academy background. Makes you wonder whether he has the football intelligence / is coachable enough to fit into a more technical team, with clear patterns of play to follow.

I can definitely understand why the club won’t go near the few being discussed.

Johnson on the other hand. Is a very intelligent, coachable player. He’s also got so many more senior games under his belt and not just a purple patch that covers little more than half a season.

It's all about individual opinions. We will only find out in time. Their are a number of factors affecting success or failure, ie being able to settle, game time, tactics etc.
Personally I would take both players, Johnson Max 40m, Orban Max 25m.

I think our youthful punt was Veliz or Orban and we chose Veliz. Alternatively if we were going to also get Orban or Johnson, we will choose Johnson because we can do a deal with Forest for some of our players imo.

I’m not making a criticism, I know little of either player. I’m just guessing what the situation is/will be and why.

What I will say on this guy is I do feel he is a risk. Could be the next George Weah and equally might not make the step up at all. I'm all for paying whatever it takes to bring in key players in positions of need but I make us right for not wanting to over pay for what is without question a punt. Its high risk but could be high reward. I totally get the caution involved on this one. If the price is right and we have moved on the necessary, I do think we could move on this one.
