Nope they desperately need another box to box midfielder to replace Xhaka.

Not sure how Onana would fit as another defensive midfielder, unless he can also play more box to box?
He usually plays an 8 role at Everton? Surely they will be wanting around 60 mill for him though?

Fancy spending all that money on Havertz then wanting to spend loads more on someone to take his place in the team…

Yep, more attacking, I think he'll do well for them (unfortunately). Also makes their team less of a push over.

But again, how? As you say 60m (at least) FFP and all that.

I think this may be more agent work, Arsenal may want him, but it's hard to see how they get this done.

Arsenal fans - “we cannot score to save our lives, we have two strikers who couldn’t score in a brothel”

Arsenal scouts - “I got it, let’s sign Amadou Onana…..”

Arsenal fans - “but we control games fairly well and don’t concede, we need goal scorers”

Arsenal board - “Everton, please take £60m for Onana!”

I agree, think he is what they need. After the obvious striker. They don’t have a powerful box to box player.

No idea how they are going to finance it (although I have no clue how much they can realistically spend)

I would imagine rice will move to 8 and onana as a 6. Makes them very powerful in midfield but yeah, not a massive amount of creativity.

They look worse at midfield and Jorginho moves the ball too slow. They need someone who can move the ball quicker

Yea think long term rice will go to 8 but I don't see onana with the technical ability to play the 6 role

In terms of Premier League incomings, is this January quieter than usual? Or has it always been this quiet?

Doesn't it tend to be nearer the last week when teams start to lower their prices. I know that's the norm for spurs but I think it's across the board

Edit - as has been pointed out by a couple of people, it is in fact quieter due to ffp
