Bale and his agent won't want Real to win after zidane's latest comments and forcing him to China is winning for Real as the China clubs aren't looking to subsidise his wages. But if they can get Real to cover the drop in wages as he returns to us then Bale and his agent would claim that as a win. Of course, you can likely substitute Spurs in this scenario for other sides.

Either way, our game in this will be run in just two weeks - will reveal a lot at that point

Unless he has certain injury issues that haven’t been made public (and therefore can’t continue to play in a top league) then if he goes to China, it will confirm all my fears that the negative press surrounding him has been true. What I mean by that is the stories about him not making much effort to interact with teammates, his love for golf overtaking his love for football etc. Add that to his performances over the last couple of years. He’s had a handful of blinders but he hasn’t been anywhere near the player he can be. And he just looks like he doesn’t want to put in the effort sometimes. I watch Madrid regularly and that’s how it comes across sometimes, unfortunately. I know some players always look like that (Berbatov) but Bale never used to.

He’s gone stale there and needs a new challenge. USA or China isn’t a challenge. If he doesn’t come to us, I hope he goes to Bayern and smashes it. China or USA would be tragic for everyone except Bale and his family. It would purely be for money and lifestyle, not football.

If he by some miracle comes to us, he’d feel part of the family and loved again. Might kickstart him into becoming the old Bale again.

Pinch of salt and that but a mate of mine from Cardiff is mates with someone in Bale's circle of friends (yeah I know, the old friend of a friend crap).
Anyway, he told me about a week ago that theyve all had a bet on GB playing in China next year. When he told me I had a look at Skybet at that outcome was 6/1, but didnt think anything of it.
Had another look Monday and it was 3/1, and as of 5 mins ago it was 6/5.
Probably bs but my mate reckons his pal is genuine

I posted this on 20th June and looks like it's going to happen....two mates stuck a ton on it at 6/1 so nice pickup incoming

Whilst China is a shitty place to play football if you were earning 600k a week to all of a sudden see it drop by 2/3rds, it is a fair bit no matter which way you look at it.

If I'd been earning the kind of money Bale has, for as long as he has, I wouldn't want to drag my fanily half way round the world to a completely alien culture to earn a load more that none of them will ever need. I'd want my kids to grow up where they belong and fit in.

Maybe some people want their family to experience new ‘culture’. Fair play to the lad going to China but it’s definitely for financial gain.

I dont think he will be going without agreement with his new wife... doubt he would want an early divorce...

Also his kids are living in Spain so whether he came to England or gone to Germany - it is all part and parcel of being a footballer where the kids may be inconvenienced.

I just think 600k A WEEK is a shit load and with his injuries he may not have five or six years left at the top.

Aren’t the odds just going down because you’re all putting money on it?
Bingo. Doesnt matter if its smaller money. More action adds up and the bookies move the odds accordingly. That’s why you can’t put too much stock in these types of markets

If he is even thinking about going to China, then he has gone down in my estimations.

An excellent player and what a waste it would be of his talent.

I get that not many teams can afford Bale, but moving to China just seems like such a disappointing move for him.

His career has gone so far down hill at Madrid, despite the admittedly impressive trophy haul. He could have been a Ballon d’or winner with his talent.

On the one hand I'd be delighted with China as I've never wanted him to leave Madrid for a PL rival, but at the same time it would feel like such a waste of talent at his age!

Of course he could always go to China and then join us on loan...
