Right - but the tweet makes it sound like they were not in breach as soon as they sold him. That is a new accounting period, and it won't be factored in until it ends on June 30.

So claiming they were in breach for only a short time - is neither accurate, nor relevant.

To spend so much money badly and then be punished must really hurt the fans. If they'd overspent but won a trophy or at least got to watch some silky players it might have been worth it, but to do all of this and be battling relegation!

I can't be be the only one who loves it when other clubs get in trouble. Sometimes I read people saying they pity the fans of those clubs, but I'm more a schadenfreude kind of guy.

Everyone loves when Spurs fail. Even sides that should really have no reason to hate Spurs.

Hate Arsenal as much as the next Spurs fan but I grew up & went to school in west London, full of Chelsea fans so my hatred for them is equal.
