My gloating that Conte is far superior to Arteta is really coming back to haunt me now, getting shit on WhatsApp. Felt like such a sure thing last year

Stellini has history of staying on after Conte doesn't he? Could have sworn he stayed at Inter too?

I do have to take issue with those saying Conte's spell has been worse than Jose's .

Conte saved our season last year and beyond all hope got us CL football. Yes, he wasted it with that appalling Milan showing but he had much more of a positive impact initially than Jose.

It's just somewhere things suddenly went wrong from the summer.

The deaths have to have played a significant part.

Yeah, in a short time he did a lot of good things. And it's possible that by bringing certain issues to the fore, he could be leave beneficial legacy.

It was a real shame how hard this year was for Conte. But it was bizarre how we looked so tired and lethargic from the very first game. It all does suggest that the training, tactics and his man management were not right for this squad. I also think that signing so many players can be disruptive.

So the fact that we were more or less able to maintain 4th throughout his time says that this wasn't a terrible appointment, just one that didn't work out as well as it could.

This should happen.
Far too much has happened these last 3/4 years for Daniel to escape any criticism other than social media hate. The club need a strong character to steady the ship and come out with a clear idea outlining the next steps.

But it’s the same system. Essentially we are continuing with Conte without Conte. Idk, I just find it really odd.
Or was it only the same system because Conte was still manager? Stellini said he was doing everything under Conte's instruction.

Worth noting that in his only stint as manager, he only used a back 3 in just 5 of the 17 games he was in charge, the rest was a back 4. probably also worth noting that he was a disaster and only won 3 games before getting sacked.

People on here actually outraged that our assistant manager is stepping in as caretaker for 10 games, as if it’s some sort of unprecedented scandal, fuck me.

Yeah alright lads we’ll just get Guardiola in for 10 games while we wait for Nagelsmann shall we. Fuck. Me.
I'm just gutted Woy chose Palace over us for the last ten.

It's a bit weird that they've only explicitly mentioned Conte and Stellini and none of the other members of the coaching team, it makes it seem like Conte's the only one who's leaving.
Almost like they only wanted to get rid of the one that called them out and in all
likelihood would do so again before the end of season. After all 20 years, same owner, won nothing probably not the favored party line for Dan and his invisible sidekick for their ever expanding property & karting business.

He doesn't, Stellini left Inter at the same time, which was after the season has ended. They also left Siena at the same time and Stellini left Juve first (due to being suspended for 2.5 years for match fixing). They weren't at Chelsea together.

Pretty crazy Conte isn’t even mentioned in the press release. Even Jose got a respectful send off. Was it that bad internally?

edit: please ignore this post. The poster is an idiot.

There is a possibility Conte just could not proceed due to personal reasons. We do not know if the club wanted him out, more than Conte needed to step back due to what he's been through this year.
