We are not poor.

Things have changed.

Conte has a serious budget to work with.

Levy will stay away.

This isn't speculation, it's a fact.

Anyone who can't see that bringing in Conte (and what comes with it) isn't a game changer, clearly doesn't know the man at all. He will not accept not having a serious amount of control alongside Paratici.

I understand the pessimism, but honestly people need to start letting themselves get excited because we are in fantastic hands and you will begin to see that over the next few windows.

I think those who are sceptical about this info (I'm admittedly one) need to take one thing into account.

@Hotspur88 & most ITK folk are not shy when it comes to calling out Levy for his constant interference in football matters.

So maybe we now pay attention when H88 is saying the opposite & other ITKs aren't coming in to counter what he's saying?

And also, as annoying as Levy is. One thing he has always consistently stated, is that once the stadium was finished & fully operational, it would allow us to become competitive with the best.

Maybe, just maybe he's been telling the truth all along.

Just watched his latest press conference. How can you not be inspired by him? Also calling Winks "Winky". ?

We've got Conte, Antonio Conte,
I just don't think you understand.
He came from Italy,
With Paratici,
We've got Tony Conte!

If we hadn't brought Conte in, I wouldn't believe it and would feel that the ITKs were being fed a line.

But the fact is, we've brought in a huge name in football management, who is not afraid to walk if he feels he's not being backed.

Not even Levy would have the gall to hire him and then keep the cheque-book closed.

Plus we've also brought in Paratici to get the deals done.

I'm excited, tbh!

Maybe i'm being pessimistic but have a feeling United mighr come sniffing around Conte when Ole gets sacked.
I'm hoping he doesn't get his head turned by them. They have a history of sniping from us..... Carrick, Berbatov, Teddy etc.

Think this is moving away from pessimism to paranoia to be honest

Highly unlikely.

Conte's made a decision, uprooted his life and has begun to focus on a new project with us. That's a big committment!

And it's not just him; he'd have to tell his whole coaching team, who all have families, that they're moving up North.

It's just not practical.

Plus Levy wouldn't sanction it.

Probably just hate United and don't trust them one bit.
I share your anxiety about this, especially with MU saying they're only looking for an interim manager till the end of the season. The positive may be that the club have to show some ambition (I.e. spending) FAST, in the winter window, to show Conte we're not screwing him over.

I'd like to add that Levy, for all his floors, does tend to listen to the fans. Generally if the fans are unhappy he acts. (Sometimes too late, granted)

Agree, does make you wonder who they have an eye on to wait to end of season, maybe Poch or Conte. Levy will now have to be very careful not to piss Conte off lol.

I can certainly see where your paranoia is coming from. The fact is Manure are going to have an interim until the end of the season. I thought they would go for Zidane but thinking about it, im think they want Poch if theyre going down the short term route for now.

Having said that, it is vital we get Conte what he wants or Manure could sniff around end of the season if Conte is unhappy here etc etc etc - you know all the rumour mongering etc.

Not going to happen. Doubt they'd even try.

Hope your right mate, its scummy United they will play dirty and try to unsettle like they did with Poch if they wanted Conte. Hate them with a passion.
I just think that they'll already be looking elsewhere. As someone else suggested, Poch could be a good shout.
