We were always going to beat forest at home. Even a 4 nil win doesnt change the fact that he should have been dismissed in the last few days.
Of course today doesn't make up for the CL exit or the woeful exit in the FA cup against Middlesbrough but Conte is here, there is every chance he will be here until the summer so I'm happy that we're on for 3 points today and hopefully will keep it going.

I was bang out of order with my comments earlier this week. Conte is just a man under a lot of stress and difficulty both in and out of work.

He has a lot of flaws as a manager but starting Richarlison today was courageous and shows a bit of reflection I didn’t realize he had in him. He clearly motivated the lads as well and there was no downing of tools. Again, I don’t think he and Spurs are a great fit moving forward but his teams selection and tactics were great today, as was the passion from the side.

credit to the man where it is due.

Yeah bold move and it paid off, he played with a point to prove today and deserved a goal at least.

One game a week Conte a proven commodity. Appeared really fiery and up for it on the touchline. Team fought similarly. In the top 4. Gives the club much more time to really work together to come up with a plan for the long term future. Let the natural progression happen: Conte finishes the season, clearly neither side wants to continue beyond that, and have the plan in place as soon as the season ends.

Good result but it still is too little too late. The Richy selection was big of him, deserves credit for that: would’ve been easy to leave him out.

No idea what to think. Midweek was shit. Sheffield UTD was shit. Wolves was more of our lot being wasteful in the first half than a shit performance over the 90. Today we outplayed Forest for fun, a team that have outworked and outplayed us twice earlier this season.

Our wingback play seems far more potent with Davies and Porro, which is what Conte sides are about. The movement and rotation of the CB's and CM's has improved a lot over the last couple of months and Skipp is really growing into his role.

Still on the fence regarding Conte. Let's wait for the post match comments to see what he wants. I'd imagine they will be some vague meanderings about what it means to be a top team etc. Maybe he will bring up the atmosphere at the stadium as an example of what he would like to hear more of.

A better day.

That's all you can ask for isn't it. Good day today - with luck, a settled side going into the last third of the season will see us keeping in contention for top 4 and then it's down to Levy and Conte to decide what they want to do.

Maybe just maybe we can string some wins together and see out the season with Conte. I would be happy with that to be honest at this point. If we can get 4th again I think Conte can leave and still hold his head up high. It would set us in a good place for the next manager.

I only say this because I don't believe we will make the 1st team signings to keep Conte and turn our football around under him. Another 4th place would still leave much of this season firmly in our minds. Will we be fooled again into feeling positive going into the summer? It's like the saying goes "fool me once..shame..shame on you, fool me..you aint gonna fool me again"

Under all the doom and gloom we're slowly getting there with this squad. I see signs of a quality side in certain areas but there's still about half the team where we have issues to solve. In goal we've actually shown to have a good keeper in Forster to step in for Lloris, right wing back is looking competitive, Skipp has done well coming in for Bentancur (similar to how Bentancur coming in for Skipp last year), Richarlison doing well in place of an out of form Kulusevski. Those are positive signs of a strong team but it's only a small part of the squad. A crucial summer ahead with or without Conte. It's so key to make that decision soon though as we need to identify targets based on the formation and style we'll be playing.

They got us knocked out of both cups with pathetic displays, then the manager attacks the fans to cover his own shortcomings.

Yeah I haven't forgotten or forgiven. A good win against a shit team. The least they can do is build, let's see.
