did he score?

Kane hit the post and Guerreiro put in the rebound.

It's possible Dier starts the next game depends on Upa's injury, as Kim's away with Sonny and they only have 3 CB currently.

Oh and Kane just scor---nvm took away by VAR, offside.

Also made some good passes and stayed calm when getting pressed hard.
completed some trivial progressions (other than the chip to Sane to unblock a good crossing opportunity). also, what hard pressure? he's playing in the halfway line against a bus.

Union has literally had nothing in the game other than the time he got rinsed. so, yea...

That chip was as perfectly weighted as it could be, and he was pressed hard a minute later, and kept his cool.

Just providing some balance since you focused solely on the one negative until that point (and very much exaggerating it imo).

The beeb making it sound like the goal was ruled out because of Dier's very presence.

Football's favourite forehead reports that Upamecano is done for weeks. Looks like Eric has fallen on his feet here!

Blimey, Eric turns up and their no 1 CB gets crocked for weeks, Upa obviously a bit intimidated by Eric’s arrival and has been training a bit too hard this week!
Go smash it Eric, you couldn’t have timed it better!

He seems to have gone to the Steve McClaren school to learn how to speak English to foreigners.

Post Match Interview

It's quite common to change the way you speak including sentence structure to help those understand where English isn't their first language.

I imagine with dier's background and speaking Portuguese is why he'd understand this.

Imagine Diers reaction when they play fullbacks at centre back instead
Is it to do an Inspector Cleuso impersonation at a press conference...

They should run a feature called Dier the exlorer... Where's Eric ('s accent from) today?

You probably don’t travel much. If you do then obviously nobody local wants to converse with you. You’d get it otherwise. Wow.
