In terms of those who invest in google and what not. I could be wrong as I'm not knowledgeable on this sort of thing but aren't these companies publicly traded meaning anybody can invest in them? So holding companies to that level of accountability doesn't work because it's similar to not being able to control what sort of person buys a ticket to your games or your merchandise.
As I say I'm happy to be better educated on the subject but I do think, who actually has control over the entity is the tipping point for me.
