I really do love this kind of signing, young British players who can be brought into the squad/team who will appreciate playing for our club. It's the best chance we have of competing against the ridiculous spending power of Chelsea and the Manchester teams, and it gives us an identity which our fans can really get behind!

As long as there not another Bostock then I agree with you! We also should be looking at the next stage up, the 21 year old kids who are first team regulars round the world too, even if they cost 10 mill or so poch can work wonders with them

I think the kid has it all, his vision and range of passing is excellent.

Physically and technically he has everything to be as good as he wants to. I wouldn't be surprised if he takes Mason's position in the team next season. He's that good.

Someone on a earlier thread compared him to a Patrick Viera type and if he is, that would compliment Bentaleb.

I think he is a signing for the future, the future being next season.

His comments are interesting in that the reason he chose us was because of the club's success over the last two or three years (paraphrasing here) in bringing young players through and Poch's policy of wanting to bring young players through.

That is where we have an advantage over clubs such as Chelscum, Le Arse Man Shity etc and why we should be really targetting such promising players.

Way to early to suggest he'll take Mason position next season!! Remember it's Mason first full season in the EPL Mason will get even better and could as well start scoring goals.

We just have to wait with Alli though the signs look very promising.

In the time Whinger has been at the goons we have had something like 13 managers, im sure all with different views on how to progress youth.

I think Poch has a good understanding of how to progress younger players and im sure if he is allowed to take us forward we will see a much more reliable stream of talent coming through in to the first team rather that the odd one that makes it every few years.

Im sure he will implement a blueprint of the first team through all the ranks so that all the youngsters know their roles as they progress through.
Obviously this takes time to implement so it is important that Poch is given the time required otherwise we will continue to chop and change and muddle through.

i already like this kid with the words ''why i snubbed Arsenal ..... '' i cant even remember the rest of the sentence lol

There is always going to be another Bostock, just like for every Kane, there are 100 Obikas, but as long as we unearth a gem every now and then, it's well worth it.

The recently departed Lennon only cost £1million from Leeds.

Ha Ha...typo? I think not :) :

Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpoo, Newcastle and Aston Villa were all interested in Alli, but he chose Spurs

Its a massive step for the lad. Bobby Zamora jumped 2 leagues to join us and never really made an impact. To say he will be replacing Mason next year is far too soon. I could see him spending next year in the Championship or to a newly promoted Prem side to get some decent playing time.

I just have a feeling that this boy will make an impression pretty early and wouldn't be surprised if he's called into the England squad in the next few years.

I'm a big fan of Mason but I think he still as to convince me that he's got the ability to progress.

I haven't seen it yet but I love his attitude and commitment and I think that is one of the main reasons he's in the team.

Technically he needs to improve.

I think its a little unfair on Bobby as he has made an impact elsewhere given time. At his best he would have been good for us.

To be fair, he doesn't say he "snubbed" anyone as far as I can read

The difference between Bostock and Alli is attitude, Alli wants to be a top player, Bostock thought he already was a player!!

I think this lad could turn out to be the signing we've ever made!

We already had a dismal enough window in that there's no big name arrival and worse still, have not had real success in ridding of our garbage. Please don't try to deflate our only reason for optimism in the current climate.
