3 only 3 strikers this is dreadful news.
I always understood that Jol believed Azza would become a striker..like Henry. I really think we should give him a go, with Niko filling in for him...

Yes I'd love Azza to be given a go upfront. Udi have recently done the same with Sanchez and he's tearing it up, I think Azza could do the same.

The most important thing for us is to get Bale and VDV fit - they're our only players who aren't afraid of the goal

I hate to say it, but that could well be a good thing. He needs to get out of the team at the moment and at least this forces him out. Of course I don't wish injury upon anyone, especially our own players, but if Harry wasn't gonna do it, something else needed to force him out.

Meh

It's been like playing with 10 players in the games he's played in the last year anyway.

For goodness sake, no one should ever be pleased a fellow Spurs player is injured, regardless of whether he is deserving a place in our team or not.

Defoe is woefully out form, we all know that, not least of all the man himself. Do you not think he'll be gutted that he hasn't made more of an impact and staked a claim to be starting in games like AC Milan away and the like.

All we can do is support the player and hope he rediscovers his killer instinct in front of goal and prove not only to us as his main critique, but to himself that he can still be a pivotal payer in our quest to retain our status as a Champions League team.

Harry has perservered long enough hoping he'll regain form. We need all our players fit and firing but sometimes when a decision is taken away from you it can be a good thing.
