It wasn’t great but I’m celebrating that how badly we played we kept going and got a result. Some people just want to focus on the negatives and moan about absolutely everything…

I don’t think it’s controversial or overly negative to moan about todays performance. It was terrible. Saying it wasn’t great is like you are saying it was an average performance when it clearly wasn’t. You can celebrate the point and the attitude and still be honest about what you’ve seen from our players performance wise today. We have different opinions about today that’s all.

Bit like playing City in the first half. Don’t play a proper centre forward, gives them an extra man in midfield where they outnumber us and just ran us ragged.
When we play any of last years top 5, if we cannot win, we don’t lose. Just got away with it today.
Latest news is that they have put a 40m bid in for Anthony Gordon. Strange move but could be just to replace Zyech or Pulisic who both appear to be out if favour.

That's supposedly Perisic's weaker foot he's delivering the corner in with. Most players would die for that good a stronger foot

Cuti retweeted this.

Google translate: Stop crying with the play where Cuti Romero pulls your hair, in this it is Cucurella's double foul on Cuti and they didn't charge anything either. Taylor was even in his arbitration.

Cucurella could have been sent off if this had been deemed to be intentional — impossible to say whether it was, but Romero certainly interpreted it as such in the moment.

It’s true enough that we were fortunate that Cuti wasn’t shown red immediately preceding the second goal, but Chelsea were a bit fortunate themselves not to be down a man in the tenth minute. You won’t hear that in the press or on social media, though.

We are so lucky too get something from todays game,
I said before the game with friends I was watching in the pub, London derby, Chelsea will be up for it,
Our record against them and everything, will be happy with a point,
Every football fan has blinkers on watching football if it is your team everything is against you.
But today I have to say we really got out of jail and it is a wonderful feeling.

At the end of the day, PEH, Davies, Sess, Royal for starters are not title winning players in their positions.

Whereas those are all good players, their passing game is not great, which hurts our overall build-up play a bit. This is IMHO the reason for why Chavs were confident pressing us so high and aggressively, because they just did not fear us being capable of playing through their press. Pretty much the same blueprint that was used last season by Southampton, Wolves and Brighton (although today by a much better team). Having said that, I personally believe that our passing and build-up will improve once the likes of Lenglet, Bissouma and Perisic are introduced as starters.

It wasn't great. But it also doesn't define our season negatively "people who think we can challenge the league are delusional".

We don't play Chelsea away (our hardest fixture) every week and I can almost guarantee we won't have many more games like that.

Liverpool just went to Fulham and were lucky to come away with a point. Are they delusional thinking they could still win the title?

Looked like we we’re conserving energy in the first half - no one moving faster than a jog. (That’s code for playing rubbish) Sonny was poor as was Harry. Kulu and Sess weren’t at the races either. Second half we upped our pace and pushed them back with our pressing. For all their superiority, they really didn’t create much and we deserved a point in the ebd

That was never a red card, he was always looking away from the player and not intentional
