Boothroyd fears for new boy <- Link
Davenport injury worry for Hornets
Watford manager Adrian Boothroyd revealed on-loan West Ham defender Calum Davenport was taken to hospital after having to leave the field on a stretcher in the second-half of the club's 1-1 home draw against Charlton.
Davenport's team-mate Darius Henderson landed awkwardly on him and Boothroyd admitted that it could be a serious injury.
"Calum heard a crack in his neck and he lost the sensation in his fingers and he is in the hospital now," Boothroyd said.
"When it is a neck injury you have to get him off the pitch straight away and we hope it is not too bad."
Watford had taken the lead through Nathan Ellington's first goal for the club since his club record £3.75million move from West Brom but Charlton drew level when Darren Ambrose's speculative long-range strike slipped through goalkeeper Richard Lee's grasp but Boothroyd insisted despite Lee's error, the draw could prove to be crucial.
All this on the lads debut aswell.
