A lot of overreactions in here. It’s as if some of you have never seen an away game against Burnley before.

Just one of those nights I’m afraid. If someone had offered me three points from City and Burnley away on Friday morning I’d have snatched your hand off.

We will batter Leeds on the weekend.

I think that's my issue really, as opposed to this game in isolation, as I'm not sure we will. I can imagine Leeds hassling us and causing problems as much as I can us comfortably beating them and that's just where we are as a team right now I think. Leeds are awful, and we really should be beating them comfortably but at the same time I don't feel comfortable in saying we'll win with any great certainty.

City was a great result but it's these games, where we're the stronger side away from home that I think our performances really need to improve. I still feel like we don't quite have the formula for away games as such. That being said I think we were good in the second half but really lacked that killer instinct.

Also, I hope every loss isn't now going to be followed with Conte is leaving in the summer ?‍♂️

What worries me most is how far off it we seem in the games we have lost in this run. We seem more than a couple of signings, the quality is just so poor.

It was just a typical game against Burnley/Stoke on a soaking wet night away.

Even our best teams in our best seasons over the last ten years have struggled on such occasions. People shouldn’t pin their hopes on single games like this, and I don’t think it’s indicative of where our team is at right now.

This was entirely expected and anyone who thought otherwise, and is now outraged as a result hasn’t been paying attention to Spurs or Football as a whole over the last few decades.

It’s not been one game though has it? It’s been four defeats in five.

Conte has said that he is fully behind this project even with the ups and downs of this season... and still some people say he will go very soon ?‍♂️

People love to wallow in misery, so there’ll be plenty of that between now and the summer. No matter how many times Conte says he’s happy at the club.

Sessegnon probably ranks no1 for the most cowardice, that a PL player can show.

The boy is petrified - fucking useless.
How many years are we going to say, he needs a run in side or he needs confidence...

If he cant be self-confident after Man City game, he will never be.

I want him gone - first player in squad to be booted out in summer . Dont need players who wont even try.

All game, he did absolutely nothing other than to go back or sideways. He made Connor Roberts look like Cafu.
Sessegnon - he was done by Lennon. He is a complete waste of money, sell him

At what point does professional pride set in? Do these players not get tired of embarrassing themselves so consistently? Surely it must get tiresome even if you’re earning thousands upon thousands of pounds every week. Just a pack of piss-weak cowardly morons. Beyond sick of it.
The problem is that Man City was the reaction. They reacted to the Southampton and Wolves games and played one of the matches of their careers against arguably one of the best teams in the world. Then they just switched off. It's not that they don't have professional pride, it's that they can't keep their heads. They're all over the place mentally. So yeah, I'd fully expect another reaction on Saturday. Up, down, up, down.

We need a

They can only score from set pieces if reduce it to the minimum it’s almost impossible to concede. I suppose Sess didn’t understand that as he did several fouls and, coincidentally, Burnley scored from one of it

So agree about the timidity. Look at Liverpools young backs when they broke through. Not scared, demanding the ball and going for goal
Not just Liverpool. Even youngsters from the scums, from Chelsea, they all played fearlessly. Yet Emerson and Sess, unluckily the most important cogs in Conte's system, are like mice. Winks, like a boy.

They never grow up. Is a shame Burnley players played more like a man.

No surprise that they scored and how they scored. It was the kind of night where we just had to put enough decent crosses into the box for Kane to attack. We delivered ONE decent cross all night, and that was from Kane himself. Shockingly poor from the wings.

Not surprised at the loss. Today sums up our issues . If we had any real squad depth we would have utilized it after a such a taxing game at the weekend.
Instead same team selection and we lose to a team we should beat.

understand the frustration as we are being told to wait until the summer to really see what happens. But Top 4 is there for the taking right now and may not be next season we just seem incapable to take it.

We have all been down this road of jam tomorrow so many times it’s hard to wait for another transfer window.

4 defeats out of 5, we haven't won a PL game in "normal time" since boxing day.

Conte isn't the problem but this team is broken completely.
