Am I wrong or just bitter?

We all know that Webb ruined that game yesterday. But just consider this.

Ronaldo was caught offside in the first half, but still carried on and put the ball in the net and he had to run a good 15-20 meters to do it. If Lennon had did the same would he have been booked? No card for Ronaldo.

Webb gives Utd the softest penalty in history, Utd 1-2 Spurs.
Ronaldo then blatantly kicks Lennon in front of the ref. If Palacios did the same would he have been booked, would he have stayed on the pitch? No card for Ronaldo. By right at this time Ronaldo should be off the pitch for 2 yellow's and no manager in the world, not even Ferguson could have argued with it.

Ronaldo then proceeds to score one and set up two. Were is the justice in that. And if Webb hasn't shown his colours enough, after scoring his second goal Ronaldo takes his shirt off in celebration.Big shock, no card for Ronaldo.

So am I just bitter or did we seriously get gang raped at old trafford yesterday?

Ronaldo went on to celebrate by taking his shirt off and got booked so again, by rights he should have gone then.

However, we may have been a man down early in the game with that reckless air tackle from Wilson who had both feet off the ground and didn't even collect a yellow, let alone a deserved straight red.

We just have to move on and accept that the world is against us in our quest for domination!!

100% agree about Wisons challenge in first half it was horrible and we were very lucky he didn't make any contact with Ronaldo.

Already in the first half i was amazed that cry baby Ronaldo wasn't given a yellow for protesting all the time.

It was a long time ago since i saw such a weak ref as Webb was yesterday.

our back four looked commanding in the first half. After the dreadful penalty decision, you can understand their complete and utter dejection, knowing what was coming their way.

The decision was a shocker by Webb and I don't think anyone would deny that but you do have to wonder about the mentality and leadership of the team when we capitulate like that. That just seemed like Spurs of old to me.

What surprises me is that no one mentions the possible offside berbatov was in at the start of the attack for 2-2.. He seem to come from a clear offside position..off course they didnt show that in a replay..

Refs are supposed to be sure before they give a penalty .

Having had the benefit of watching it three times in slow motion the best I could say was that I still wasn't sure .

The bottom line is that Carlos Tevez's Man Utd shifted into a different gear and we capitulated .

We were playing the best club side in recent times , a league ahead of where Chelsea were 3 years ago .

Unfortunately we would have to spend money rivalling the recent bank bailout to challenge that lot .

Howard Webb ruined the season yesterday, not for us for everybody! When he makes biased decisions like that, it is time to make a change. Video replays HAVE to be introduced during matches. If referees bow to pressure and make howling decisions such as the ones in yesterday's game then they are no longer refereeing impartially.
We have seen so many decisions for and against us over the years that we all sit and think how did the referee not see that! The simple thing fact is these things don't even out over a season and if that were the case 2 wrongs do not make a right! Football has been left in the dark ages, you just have to look at tennis where they have the line technology, rugby with the video replays (second ref) and even cricket. I'm sure there are many others you could name.

Things need to change as I for one am fed up of lousy referee's cheating or just making howling decisions week in week out!

Question, did the whole ball cross the line?

You have a good point, I was a angry as the next man about the penalty decision but found it farcical that for ten minutes after all Harry Redknapp was shouting to the players was "he got the ball, he got the ball tell him tell him" whilst gesturing to the nearest spurs player to confront the referee!

Now I think some tactical orders or change of personnel would have done a lot more than this 10 min rant!

Whatshappnin, to answer the question, yes the ball 100% crossed the line, but until i saw the replay from side on it was impossible to tell, bearing that in mind the assistant ref was not in a position to tell so how it was given i do not know! Still it had crossed the line so in principle the right decision was made (probably the only one in the game)

Then that's fair enough, but as you say they don't need to see it actually cross the line at Old Trafford do they!

That is the problem, I think this may have messed up the players minds for the rest of the season.

I think that one penalty decision has repercussions beyond losing at old trafford.
