I hope i dont get bad rep here but from his videos the way he plays reminds me immediately of a player we all detest - left footed with a stockish frame, low CG turns, quick acceleration, nippy passes, gets stuck in...

Jack Wilshire! ??
Where have you seen videos of him playing?

From YouTube bro. Just type his name in. The title of the 3 min video is "This is why Liverpool wants to sign Alfie Devine" ?

I'd be interested to see this video too. I'm fairly confident he's not left footed, in the games I watched he was primarily receiving the ball and passing long and short with his right foot, but seemed happy to take the ball on his left.

I also think Wilshere carries the ball a lot more than Devine does, who will usually sit the deepest when we have the ball, sometimes being the only players in our half, and the CBs split. Wilshere also plays in more attacking positions, granted I've only seen Devine play twice.

Has Devine also got himself a cool personalised wheelchair as well yet then?

We are also pleased to confirm the signing of young midfielder Alfie Devine from Wigan Athletic. The 15-year-old, who featured for Wigan Under-18s in their FA Youth Cup run last season, including a substitute appearance against us in the fourth round, has joined our Academy set-up as a first-year Under-18s player.

Welcome to the next Messi/ronaldo/Ramos/Pele/Iniesta/eusabio/timcahill/Robben/Tigerwoods/shanewarne/Neuer/Mbappe/Dembele/miranchuk!

Does anyone know what position he plays so I can pretend to know what I'm talking about when I overhype him?

File this one under ‘Jack Clarke’ for now. We used to get youth players all the time without the coverage. And mostly came to nothing. Now it’s being passed off as a ‘signing’. Will pop back for a look in a few years.

Jack Clarke was a 19 year old with a year’s experience in the championship. This is a 15 year old with three appearances in the FA youth cup. File it far away from Jack Clarke.

Chief scout Brian Carey...???!?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Carey
He now works full time in Scouting / Recruitment for a Premier League Football Club and travels throughout Europe and further afield searching for football talent.

I thought our Chief Scout was Steve Hitchen...
