Did inter actually sell anyone in the end as supposedly their finances were so bad?

Not really.. sold a young player to Chelsea but that was about it.

As far as Bastoni, I personally wouldn't have a ton of confidence in him lighting the prem on fire if we wacked 50mil on him next Summer.

15 games for Italy since 2020 so he can't be as bad as what he is showing now, and yeah I agree Inter are not to flash right now.

I'm not a fan of Bastoni but I'm also not not a fan. But I think conte is looking at this rubbing his hands.

Knew sweet FA about the guy prior to our interest but ever since then whether playing for Italy or Inter he just seems a total calamity. Small sample size but when lobbing 50+ million on someone you expect at least a fairly high floor.

I mentioned the other week that I thought Inter would struggle this season and possibly not get CL today just reinforced that opinion. They will get better when Lukaku comes back but he will only paper over a lot of cracks, that’s if he keeps in form. I honestly could see this season ending with Inzaghi getting the boot.

If Inter don’t get CL then a move for Barella wouldn’t be beyond the realms of possibility imo. Don’t get me wrong I think they will still bully a lot of the lower teams but at this point I don’t think they are any better then the likes of Roma, Lazio, Napoli, Atalanta etc. Missing Dybala was a big one and loosing Perisic has massively fucked their left side which has had a knock on effect with Bastoni.
