Has he walked yet coz Durham said so?
I wrote this: "In a word: no. We're consumers of a product provided by an organisation. If we don't like the product provided by that organisation, we have one 'right' and one only: we can choose not to buy that product." Then you said "That is so fucking wrong". I asked you to tell me why. You haven't. You've just stated an irrelevance. I said in my original post about emotional investment.
If I'm "so fucking wrong" about our rights being the same with Spurs as they are with a supermarket, tell me why. You won't, because you can't.
I'll let the stupid personal remark slide; it says enough about you without any further comment. You're banging on about 'rights', what are you some lunatic leftie? The club has a 'duty' toward the fans and should act accordingly, imo.
That is just SO fucking wrong and a massive indication as to what is wrong with football and an increasing number of fans nowadays!! We're NOT customers of a fucking supermarket, we are fans!! Just because football has decided to turn itself into a monsterous money making ogre doesn't mean we fans have to roll out the corporate bollocks on their behalf and so legitamising the ogre's ruination of our beloved game in their OWN corporate interests!! Some people just don't fucking get what supporting your football club is about these days!!!
In a word: no. We're consumers of a product provided by an organisation. If we don't like the product provided by that organisation, we have one 'right' and one only: we can choose not to buy that product. Not go go to matches or buy merchandise. The fact that we have an emotional attachment to the organisation is irrelevant.
You, and countless others, need to learn the difference between a right and a privilege.
I agree with you on that point. However I don't think that being a supporter entitles us to know the inner workings of the club. They're kept secretive for good reason. If the supporters know about what we're doing transfer-wise, what's going on in the dressing room etc. then by default the wider public knows about it as well, which is clearly not a good situation to be in
But how do you square that with the non-stop drip drip drip of 'information' being put out by the sports media. What responsibility do they have in telling us what's going on inside the club, the breakdown of personal relationships and any unrest in the dressing room, not to mention any rumbles of transfer activity, in or out...or even how much players are earning and the length of their contracts?
The question of our rights and privileges is currently being discussed between myself and Spud, but I'd say even if we both agree the supporters should expect neither of these for their money...we still get bombarded with all kinds of useless shit from the press, mainly to create controversy and conversation amongst us, so maybe as far as that goes, the press are satisfying our demand for info about what's going on inside the club anyway (if you can believe it).
.
Sorry mate you've lost me there. The sports media report of stories to get viewers and make money. I'm not sure how that really ties in to whether or not clubs should be obligated to keep supporters informed about the inner workings of the club.
Well if they did phone in then they fell for it hook, line and sinker because that's exactly what he wants! People shouldn't take him too seriously - he just does it to generate calls, tweets and text messages. He was falling over himself to praise DL for appointing Mourinho a few weeks ago and saying what a major statement of intent it is.Top Wumming from Durham yesterday evening regarding Son's goal...
- it wasn't that great
- Burnley players basically waved him through
- unlike Burnley not to put a tactical foul in
- Imagine the uproar from Spurs fans if a Burnley player put a challenge in on Son, like Son did on Andre Gomes
Don't know if anyone phoned in as they were talking about the boxing after that...
I know it wasn’t Tottenham related, but did anyone see that Durham said that celtic cheated because they had Fraser Forster in goal who is on loan from Southampton and went on a full rant because Celtic are only paying half his wages it should be called cheating.
Full blown **** that man
Never listened to the show live, saw it in twitter and agree that the majority is just to get phone ins, point stands that he’s still a ****?Read the post above yours
