I want Traore so much, I can see already how well he would fit into our setup. Hard working, fast and dynamic and untouchable on the ball. I actually think his decision making is very good, he often picks the right pass and rarely overdoes it, sometimes his execution just lets him down. He also scared our players last week, so many times the ball was in the air and he would come in hard and our players just stood off and waited for him to get it. I rate him much more than most of our current options.
Also that I find him so fun to watch, we are slowly going back to being fun to watch. Blokes running and chasing hard and moving the ball quickly into feet. I feel like last night was the first time ive seen spurs play forward into the midfield and play 2m triangles in years! Hopefully it can translate against better opposition. Hope it gets done :)

Ali Gold didn’t really give an update one way or the other on this - passing comment that we may go back to striker options if we don’t get him.

Would love him but think it’s a bit daft if then meant we also didn’t push for a proper centre forward.

Son needs to be rested / rotated too so him being back up when Kane not available seems kinda silly and you’d want them two together on pitch as much as possible as well.

We should be bringing in the Wout!

Pretty simple, if we stump up the 40 ish million that they want we'll get him.

They just won't entertain any loan to buy offers.

To be honest when Lage has spoken on it he hasn't sounded greatly convincing. I think before he said he 'thinks' Traore will stay and now he says he's still confident but it's not a yes. Like you say I think if we stumped up a large amount things may change but I have no idea if we're in a position to do so.

The centre of midfield addressed with the addition of Traore could make all the difference to our season IMO.

I think he is worth more than 40 mio to them.

Like Kane was worth a lot more to us than city offered.

Just my view.

I don’t see the benefit of us waiting later. Just makes it even more likely they will say no. If it was going to happen I think it would be near by now

The idea that Wolves would let their most important player, who is our manager’s top target, and who only has two years left on his contract go on loan without an obligation is total fantasy.

From Wolves’ perspective if it were a loan with an option they’d be losing the player their tactics revolve around for the season, and could potentially have him back at the club a year from now with only a year left on his contract, his value slashed in half. It’d be all risk, no reward. No business person would ever so much as consider the possibility.

The loan-with-option structure is so self-evidently never going to happen that I’d be genuinely stunned if Paratici ever even attempted it. Nuno wants the player and we’ve been eyeing him up on a permanent deal, even if we attempted a bit of creative accounting.

You may think that’s “dumb” but it’s been the reality all throughout. It comes down to one’s opinion of the player, which has been rehashed ad nauseum in this thread so I won’t bother to go into it.

Even a loan with an obligation at this stage would be a ridiculous. I know mendes is there and he can sort a replacement out on similar terms, but Adama is wolves MVP, 5m up front is an awful bid for a player worth 40-50m.

He has 2 years left and if he has a good season, they could probably recoup 30m next season.

Spurs have to put a good offer in to get him and without sales I can't see it.

Lets see what happens when Ronaldo is sorted.

Mendes is probably a bit busy at the second haha!

Lets just hope he doesn't make so much money he decides to leave it until January.
