So, a little while ago, I did a spoof post in which I made up a couple of silly nicknames to represent some of our players as part of a pseudo-noir narrative, in the style of Jose 'The Portuguese' Mourinho or David 'Gallic' Ginola, but with some of our current players.
Since then, a couple of other silly nicknames have occurred to me and for some reason I hear myself using the nicknames instead of the player's real name when I watch us play! So, I thought I'd try and come up with silly nicknames for all of the players listed on the OS' First Team webpage (including the ones on loan) and make a game of it.
Below are the nicknames I've come up with for the players listed under the First Team page on the official site (including the ones on loan). Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to try and work out which nickname belongs to which player. Some of them are obvious, some of them more obscure. They're in alphabetical order of nickname, not squad number order, before anyone tries to get cute.
If anyone gets them all right, they get a winner rating and can have a stab themselves if they'd like to. I'll confirm the correct ones every so often by editing this post, so it doesn't go on forever. Those in bold are the ones that have been guessed correctly. Anyway, have fun!

- 50 Yard - Harry "50 Yard" Winks. Because of the pass-cum-goal against Ludogorets. @Jgplk1 the first to guess correctly.
- Beer City - Steven "Beer City" Bergwijn. Because berg can mean city in different languages and beer is an alcoholic drink as is wine/wijn. @juste5boys the first to guess right
- The Belly - Tanguy "The Belly" Ndombele. Because he had fitness issues and also because of the last two syllables of his name. @juste5boys the first to guess right.
- Cheekbones
- Chemical - Dele "Chemical" Alli. Because, as @Dashyid said, it's a play on Chemical Ali, Saddam's Propaganda Minister, but also because chemicals can be volatile (a bit like Dele used to be) @juste5boys the first to guess right.

- The Fake Geordie - Paolo "The Fake Geordie" Gazzaniga. Paul Gascoigne was the real Geordie for us, so Paulo Gazza-niga becomes the Fake Geordie. @CarrickSpurgus the first to guess right and give the right reason.

- Goldie - Serge "Goldie" Aurier. Aurum is Latin for gold and it's where we get the chemical symbol for gold from (Au). Also Auric Goldfinger, etc. @juste5boys the first to guess correctly
- Hit ‘n’ Run - Joe "Hit 'N' Run" Rodon. Rodon = Rode On = Hit 'N' Run. @Who’s our next manager? the first to guess right.
- Interesting - Ben "Interesting" Davies. A reference to Steve Davies who was humourously referred to during his playing days as Steve "Interesting" Davies. @CarrickSpurgus the first to guess right.
- The Invisible Man - Gedson "The Invisible Man" Fernandes. Because where is he? Can anyone see him? Does he even exist? @spurs mental the first to guess right.

- The Last Belgian - Toby "The Last Belgian" Alderweireld. Obviously, he's the last of our Belgian contingent, hence the last Belgian. @stevespurs the first to guess right.

- Manbun - Gareth "Manbun" Bale. I mean, come on Gareth. @spurs mental the first to guess correctly
- Michael Caine - Alfie "Michael Caine" Whiteman. Just because Alfie Whiteman sounds like a name from a 1960s Michael Caine movie (and there is a movie with Caine in it called Alfie anyway). @juste5boys the first to guess correctly.
- The Moose - Moussa "The Moose" Sissoko. Because it sounds similar to his first name and mooses (moose? meece?) are pretty big units, etc. @spurs mental the first to guess right.

- Petal - Danny "Petal" Rose. For all the obvious reasons! @stevespurs the first to guess right.

- Resume - Cameron "Resume" Carter-Vickers. CCV = C CV = CV = Resume. @jedimonkey the first to guess right
- Shithouse - Eric "Shithouse" Lamela. We know the reason why.... and we love him for it. @Tucker the first to guess right.
- Smiley - Heung-Min "Smiley" Son. Again, very obviously as he is the smiliest of smilers. @stevespurs the first to guess right.

- Sugar - Harry "Sugar" Kane. Sugarcane = Sugar Kane. @juste5boys the first to get that one.

- The Viking - Pierre-Emile "The Viking" Hjobjerg. Because he's, well, Danish and he's tough and uncompromising, like the Vikings had a reputation for. @stevespurs the first to guess right.
- Victor - "Victor" Hugo Lloris. For the French novelist, dramatist and poet. @McFlash the first to guess right.
- Yorkie - Jack "Yorkie" Clarke. Because he's from Yorkshire and he's little and he runs about. @McFlash the first to guess right.
