Newcastle stand in 14th at the moment = 5.2 m prize money
Newcastle win, potentially finish 10th = 8.3 m prize money
Newcastle lose, potentially finish16th = 3.7 m prize money.

Thats a difference of nearly 5m on one win, you tell me if Mike Ashley won't want Newcastle to beat the scum irrelevant of doing us a good turn.
If Pardew has any chance of keeping his job, throwing away 5m won't do it, so don't believe all the bullshit, Pardew will want a win to save his own ass.

Keep clutching them straws.... Newcastle don't give a toss about you, me or THFC. they will play Sunday like a testimonial and get dicked by 3 or 4. Awful spineless team with a utter mong managing them.....

Newcastle will lose, trust me. Wigan was our last chance.

You're talking about a team that lost 6-0 at home to Liverpool like 2 games ago. They're shit and Pardew is clueless.

Mike Ashley wants Newcastle to win every game.
The manager wants them to win every game.
The players want to win every game.

Nobody gives a fuck about doing a good turn for another club. But Newcastle aren't good enough to beat Arsenal on current form.

It would be funny if they beat Arsenal and then Mike Ashley used the £5m to sack Pardew and hire a football manager.

doesn't mean a thing for the 11 players newcastle will field on sunday

The point of the thread is that hopefully Pardew won't send his players out in the wrong frame of mind like we feared after his pathetic statement the other night, now if they still don't give a flying toss than were are fucked.

How do any of us know what bonus their players are on to finish higher up the league? money talks for these mercenaries.

The players won't give a toss about that. I don't hold out much hope of Newcastle doing us a favour.

Let's hope the put in the type of performance they did to beat Chelsea and Arsenal have an off day

Can't see it but I am not too worried anymore - for me we blew it against Fulham, well really at Wigan because it was still in our hands then

What's really important is that we continue to progress - the right players must be bought for our needs, they don't have to be expensive superstars but they do need to offer us what we lack. We can't have another window where we don't address our issues, AVB must be allowed to build a team

Who knows.

After Pardews comments, then backtracking, now with huge emphasis riding on this game along with live tv coverage, Pardew and the Newcastle team will be expected to turn in a performance, they wont want the world to witness another home drubbing.

There will be a spoil the Arsenal Party atmosphere with any luck, always happens to teams playing for something on the last day, if the Toon fans get wind of a spurs goal I reckon a cheer will go around SJP and personally I can see the Gooners being nervy.

Lets be honest after their first goal last night, they looked pretty nervous and Wigan were in the ascendancy until they lost McManaman, when he went off it gave the Gooners a lift and Wigan collapsed.

I really dont know what will happen on Sunday, its down to who has the bottle. Think its crucial we come out flying and get an early goal or 2.

I think we probably have something like a 25 - 30% chance of finishing fourth. I think the fact that it is the last game of the season will add something to the game at SJP. The players and staff have to do a lap of honour after the game and will not want to lose their final match of the season.

We are at home and Sunderland are now safe. In some ways the pressure is now a bit more on Arsenal as they are ahead.

Mike Ashley counts Pennies not Pounds. It's actually 500 million reasons.

Good topic, like it.
