Memories of John BarnesI'm just ignoring all the peripheral stuff and looking forward to seeing England vs Brazil. It still has the magic for me (probably just because it's quite rare, but even so).

I think it looks shit personally, but that probably just makes me a Tory or something. There is nothing wrong with the flag on the new kit. Unfortunately politicians and nationalists want to use the England team for their own political ends. England should be able to wear what they like, we don’t live like n a police state yet.
100%It is?!
I am pretty woke - but, yeah I think this was a mistake by Nike for the home shirt.
I would hope they would not take the US flag and change the red and white stripes to rainbow.
If they wanted - maybe make a special kit that is sold separately with something like rainbow numbers/lettering.
The price of football shirts are bloody offensive.I’m more offended by the price than the flag. 70 notes for something that costs prob £1 to produce (if that).

Doesn't make you anything other than someone who doesn't like a design choiceI think it looks shit personally, but that probably just makes me a Tory or something.
I wish my life was so empty and dull that the colour of a decal on a collar of a shirt is enough to get me all fired up...
It makes no difference to how they'll play, the sort of things that people get their petticoats ruffled over.
smh.
Hear me out...i'm certain that creamy mocha third kit we have this season makes us play like dog shite.@ReadieSpur and @The Watcher - Both disagree - can you explain how that decal on a collar is going to change how the players perform, or why it makes any difference whatsoever?
Genuinely curious why it's a disagree. Dislike, fine, you don't like my stance on how cotton stitched into a particular shape will affect how someone kicks a ball, but disagree?
puzzled.
We don't win tournaments anyway but I'd much rather see us play to our strengths, which currently is the attacking young talent we have, than try and protect players like Maguire by putting more aging, stodgy players in front of them. You don’t win these tournaments by playing attacking football with a bunch of young players. Spain won the World Cup in 2010. They were the best international team since Brazil 1970. Lost first game 1-0, won the rest 1-0. Our defence cannot be relied on, therefore I am sure he will play a defensive player with Rice.
Listen mate, tactics and team selections is all good and well but what do you think about the moody cross on the back of the overpriced to feck shirt? We don't win tournaments anyway but I'd much rather see us play to our strengths, which currently is the attacking young talent we have, than try and protect players like Maguire by putting more aging, stodgy players in front of them.
Our young Cb's are pretty decent imo, so play one of them with Stones, one DM and then let the forward talent worry about scoring more goals than the oppo.
Bellingham can do a good job as a box to box and TAA has enough defensive nous to play in midfield next to him and Rice, along with the vision and ability to release to forward three when the opportunity arises.
In my opinion, if Southgate plays two dm's, he's playing to protect our weaknesses, instead of playing to our strengths but like you, I fully expect him to do so.
Is this 'alternative' flag something that Nike have done for other countries? Genuine question. They must supply kits to a fair few national teams and I'm wondering whether they've decided that they're going to change the flag colours/design on all of their national kits this year.
