I don't know why some in here are having a pop at Kane and/or Bayern. We've avoided the nightmare scenario (even if it was remote) of Kane leaving on a free next year and rocking up at somewhere like United or, God forbid, the Chavs. Yes, I realise he wanted to engineer a situation where we got some dosh out of it. However, never underestimate the possibility of a Campbell type situation - even in Harold's case.

That said. He'll win loads of medals at Bayern - see out his contract there and then, it wouldn't surprise me, come back here and see out the rest of his career.

Seeing him tonight is the first time it's occurred to me that this might not actually work out for him.

I've spent all week in different stages of grief over where it leaves us, this is the first time I've even considered how it'll work for him.

For us and England he is the main man, everything goes through him, everything is geared towards getting the ball to him and providing him options when he has it.

At Bayern, he's not going to be that. He's just part of the team. I'm don't think he'll fail, but I'm not sure he'll succeed there either.

I'd never imaged saying this, but it's possible he has made a big mistake (obviously can't judge on 20 mins in a team he joined this morning)

He will win medals and score lots of goals... no doubt... I'm just glad it didn't happen now 👍

Come on, let us joke about it. Its easier to handle the pain if we can laugh about what just happened. Its not about having a pop at Harry.

Friday was bad. Tonight could have been worse had Bayern won (you can just imagine the media wank-fest had he won something on day one). Tomorrow we will have to endure a day of Harry Kane bingo (Kane would have scored that one / Son’s missing his old strike partner / Spurs will miss Kane’s presence). Please boys, just go out and smash Brentford.

It won’t be long until they fully realise what they’ve got and work out how to use him. Tuchel knows because he’s seen him up close but it might take the German fans and Pundits a bit longer. Most probably don’t realise he’s a complete player and much more than just a goal scorer.

It’s undoubtedly going to be a massive culture shock both footballing wise and lifestyle and you do make valid points.

But that being said, I don’t see how he won’t be a success on the pitch in an historically successful and multi talented team.

The first three or four months of the season TV coverage is going to be unbearable with non stop Kane chat.

Tonight showed one of Kane's worst traits, always making himself available. He had his medical at 1am after a stressful day waiting for the green light. He should have sat this one in the stands.

Lol. Your basing his next 4 years on 30 min runout. He’s probably not even unpacked yet.
