I am a pessimist. However if if we ceep Kane for this season i belive we get CL next year. A part of me belives without Europe interfering we could do a Leicester and win the league.

Hopefully some compromise can be found for a new deal. Kane deserves top PL wages and we can afford to pay it. Give him a nice pay rise, a season of attacking football under-Ange with his mate Maddison, whilst allowing him more control over his future with some escape clauses that favour moves abroad.

All things considered I think Kane is swaying towards staying (at least for this season) now. Promising signs under Ange and a baby on the way, makes sense to stay another year where he's settled.

Ultimately the decision for Harry is jokes with Madders and golf in Chigwell or dry team building events with Thomas Muller and Manuel Neuer

They’ll cone back with another bid. Whether it’s finally acceptable or not is another question. With how much they’ve embarrassed themselves, they might want to go over that so that they know for sure it’ll be accepted. Otherwise, they risk getting more egg on their faces. They arent used to not being able to push a club around. But they also arent used to actually paying a fair price for a player.

It should now a “do we just bite the bullet & avoid further embarrassment in the eyes of our supporters or do we go elsewhere & go all out for Vlahovic.” But of course with the way they’ve conducted themselves, im thoroughly expecting a £90m with a further 15 in add ons bid that they’ll call a big improvement to endure mouth pieces even thoughts its just making £5m of the original add ons part of the base price.

They could probably get a Vlahovic deal done pretty quickly, and he'd probably do excellently for them too, however it would be pretty embarrassing for them to not be able to get a player off a team who finished mid-table in England last season. It could also be a wedge issue between them and Tuchel if he's really set on Kane and sees this as failing to back him. Which it would be, tbf.

Really this just needs following up with a message of ‘not this summer’ now.

Aside from the risk of him leaving on a free, signing a contract, where he goes, when he goes, if he goes, we’re a football club one week away from the start of the season.

It’s been made clear to Bayern what he costs, they have now repeatedly, not met that figure.

I hope the message that went back also said we now won’t be answering the phone until January at the earliest, there’s a season to prepare for.

Give him 20 million signing fee and 400 grand a week. Got to do everything to keep him.
Chuck in a 30m retirement as one club man with silverware sweetener as the golden handshake, and ahhh even my creative writing skills struggle here haha… but, yep, make the decision, be brave, go all in.

Given that’s exactly what Prof’s ITK said, that there’s no idea how it will play out and he might still leave on a free next year then yes, I will choose to believe it thanks.
That's not what he said at all. He (Gawain) gave details of the contract options and then only in opinion said he hadn't got a clue whether he'd sign whether he'd go or whether he'd stay and walk away next year on a free. That's not saying they were the three options.
You obviously are invested in that option though so as I said before, you keeping believing.

They need to hurry up with the shirt numbers as there's a ton of parents waiting to buy Maddison shirts.

Edit: cheers @Baleismygod I know I've pissed you off but that's petty.

Why do people keep suggesting that Bayern have embarrassed themselves? Haven't they just made some offers that have been rejected. We do that all the time.

And you just keep making things up and being snide. Or maybe just improve your reading skills and not just decide one bit of a sentence is fact and another is opinion.

Kerry Hau @kerry_hau Chief Reporter @SPORT1

Even 100 million euros fixed plus bonuses are not enough for Daniel Levy, the Spurs boss wants a higher base amount for Harry Kane. Will the poker continue? Kane remains the absolute dream solution for the storm, the clubs are still in exchange. FC Bayern has not yet made a final decision on how to proceed. One of several alternative plans is to dare the next Kane attempt in winter - and until then to rely more on Mathys Tel, who has made a strong impression in the preparations so far.

Sounds like they're already making plans (e.g. Tel) without him?
