So unprofessional from him. It’s always someone else’s fault. He’s had 18 months and the biggest net spend we’ve ever given a manager and he’s still blaming everyone else.

If they aren’t playing as a team and they are being selfish then who’s fault is that? He’s had nearly two years to mould this lot in his image and if anything we’ve gotten worse the longer he’s been here and the more money he’s spent.

Shouldn’t even be allowed on the team coach home. Get him out of the club asap.

Those comments should never have been aired in public. His position for me now is untenable. I expect to hear some news within 48 hours.
why not? his stating pure facts, the fact he has aired it in public and his not a levy puppet has made him go up tenfold in my estimations

Can you even imagine even coming in to training with this guy? I can’t remember one sustained period of him being positive about the club in any light.

The players must dread coming in, he’s a miserable, self important, negative drain constantly. There’s no lightness, no fun around the club, every day is just him moaning about everyone but him, blaming everyone else, playing the same turgid, boring, draconian football that we pay him 15million quid to torture us with just because he won things at Chelsea, Juve and Inter, three clubs that either had brilliant players already, or spent a fortune bringing them in for him.

The board deserve to go as well, but Christ almighty this guy is a hypocrite.

What's he saying though?

Our player turnover is pretty high so what exactly is the issue that he can't fix?
Exactly. Thats what he is being paid very handsomely to do and he's just basically admitted that he can't. Grounds to terminate his contract maybe?

True, but, maybe they spent money on the 2nd,3rd choices and only 1 or 2 that Conte wanted (e.g perisic)

He’s absolutely right though.

Everyone from the board to the players to the fans are complicit in our failure over the past 25 years.

We’ve won fuck all, our board have no ambition, our players’ lack of commitment to the cause goes back several managers yet inexplicably some of them are still here… and aside from the odd boo and a bit of a whinge on social media, the fans are happy to clap along with the sub-standard circus.

I have no issue with him calling our our terrible footballing strategy and it's clear some players need to move on.

But what exactly is the issue he has ? The ones that have been there years he picks week in and week out. Dier, Davies, Kane, son? I can't believe they're an issue. Holjberg who I don't rate seems to be the first name on the teamsheet, Oli Skipp is the epitome of a team player.

It's not working and Daniel Levy has loads to answer for which he won't but I'd love more detail beyond it's all their fault.

He's actually right though
Surely conte on thin ice🧊 after his post match presser. Everyone’s fault but his. I know the board aren’t perfect but tbh we’ve backed conte more than any of our previous managers with some pretty good players and he’s continuing to not get the best from them so he has to take his fair share of the blame. We limped out of the cups to Nottingham Forest, Sheff Utd and a very average AC Milan team without really attacking or having a go. I think this Conte experiment is surely close to its end now?

*I do like that we have a manager who is finally calling out the board though as from a football strategy perspective they need to improve*

Sounds like a dead man walking.

You can blame the club for not winning, but blame yourself for playing players with the handbrake on.

This failure, us going out of 2 cups is purely down to you. Not the club. Same with the wolves and Leicester game.
I think 'dead man walking' is probably the wrong phrase as its Conte that clearly wants out.

The 'dead man walking' sits better with Levy. Because when Kane walks and Conte kills him in the press it's going to be shit for the Club.

Conte's done now. I genuinely think he's done his best but ultimately failed for several reasons. He hasn't helped himself with the passive approach and poor use of the squad. I think he knows how to win but has failed to get that across successfully to our players. He hasn't been backed properly either. And he's sometimes deflected blame.

BUT

He's also spoken a lot of truth about our club and players. The last thing our perennially average players need is someone coming in and giving them all another chance. They all need to be gotten out of the club, and Levy needs to take the hit if that's what it takes.

The mediocrity at the heart of our club has gone on too long now. Levy must realise that getting a "proven winner" manager in isn't the answer.

The signings under Paratici have largely been in the right direction. This summer we need a lot out and some real quality in.

And for heaven's sake get a manager who'll commit to a long term project and plays decent football.
