Sounds like the agents are trying to force Barca into accepting a low ball Leipzig offer by saying that it's Leipzig or nothing, and they will leave for free next summer.

The agents are proper in bed with Leipzig aren't they, the fuckers,

It looks like what we’re trying with Traore. What goes around I guess.

Ilaix does not want to go to Tottenham and opts for the Leipzig option. The Germans have sold Sabitzer to Bayern and are preparing an offer to take Barça this summer

In terms of the agents involved sure, but if Moriba fulfils his potential then the "why didn't we sign him" mob will come out in full force.

They will do that regardless - quite often it's just an excuse to melt about something.

I've not had a good feeling about this the whole time - it feels like something arsenal would do that would nuke the team. An inexperienced 18 year old coming in on established wages that are above established players is far more likely to take us back than forward imo

If he’s after £150k or whatever is rumoured now at 18 years old. I dread to think what he’ll be like in a few years.
Add the fucking agent(s) into the equation, we could be paying for alot more than we realised.

Where have the Bissouma links come from? It makes far too much sense. It is the sort of signing we should be making but nobody reliable on twitter has even mentioned it.

I'm really confused. I thought the whole thing was that RBL were going to take him on a free new year and hence pay ridiculous agent fees. If they're paying for the player now, they're presumably not going to overpay on the fees? They also can't have an agreement lined up until January (I thought?). Will UEFA just ignore such a blatant breaking of the rules there too?

Confirmed by Barça sources. Ilaix Moriba's agents have informed the FCB that the player ONLY wants to go to Red Bull Leipzig At the moment there is NO new German offer. The first was 6M €. The Barça will NOT yield: it is worth 20M € or a year in the stands

Couple of assumptions,

The agency which represents him are German based so possibly have ties with Leipzig.
Leipzig had one of their former trainers in Spain working one to one with him so have fostered a good relationship with the player
They’ve offered him first team football as a replacement for sabitzer

Imagine thinking we’d get Bissouma ? we’re likelier to enquire about his price, send out the whispers to the media to make us look good and get stunned when Brighton come back w an obviously high amount. Don’t let yourself fall for that

This is what the article says from a rather trustworthy source for Barca news:

Ilaix Moriba has decided to play for RB Leipzig this next season and this was communicated by the player's agents to FC Barcelona during their last contact, confirming that the only alternative they contemplate is an exit to the Bundesliga despite Tottenham's interest .

Ilaix's agents already have a deal closed with Leipzig and will not hear any new offers. The first proposal that the Germans presented for the midfielder was for six million euros, far from the claims of Barça , and for the moment they have not improved their offer.

However, the imminent sale of Marcel Sabitzer to Bayern Munich , estimated at 16 million euros, will allow the German club to have enough money to face the incorporation of Ilaix , the one chosen to replace the Austrian's departure.

It remains to be seen if Leipzig decides in the next few hours to present a new offer for Ilaix and if Barça accepts the conditions to let the Guinean out. In any case, the soap opera about the future of Ilaix has two possible solutions: Leipzig or a season in the stands.

Sounds like we are no longer in the conversation then. On to the next one.

I was never convinced of his impending greatness so I ain't too fussed , especially considering the money needed to bring him here. I'll keep an eye on the lad to see how he develops.

Yep this was inevitable. Leipzig probably happy to pay his wages and agents fees in full. Aouar on deadline day is looking very likely

Im sure this will go against the grain as such in here, but im glad, this guy seems to have too much sh*tty baggage attached to him, and his agents father seem like bellends, and massive future hassle if he did come... really not fussed about him or his / agents / father attitude to the whole saga.

I find it a very sad indication of the state of modern football that an 18 year old player's agent can dictate where he plays, even if it means sitting in the stands and ruining his development for a year, all for a bit paycheck.

The lack of regulation on agent fees etc is astounding, especially for younger players. So easy to getting taken advantange of.
