According to Multiverse theory, there must exist a universe in which City are fed up with us refusing the players they’re offering as part-ex for Kane, so are buying Vlahovic just to be able to offer us a player we actually want.

I find this quite satisfying.

Vlahovic contract is until 2023, they are not in a position to play chicken trying to get 100 mill for him in my opinion. They will cash in this summer, I'm certain of it. I hope we are pressing forward with it.

Also a universe where we sign players at the beginning of the transfer window. Imagine that universe. How smug and happy they are. Pricks

It's all posturing by City to push the deal through I reckon. They're basically saying to Levy "Come to the table now or we'll take Vlahovic and leave you with a very disgruntled and unsettled Harry Kane plus loads of pissed off and fed up supporters. It's crunch time.
They can do that all they want. Fine by me. The fact that we have Kane and they do not, we are always the winner. We hold the aces and we hold the spades.

That quote from the Fiorentina president is probably the most blatant example of posturing that I've ever seen.

I'm actually shocked at how many ppl on here are taking it seriously. The man is clearly just trying to encourage a bidding war so that he can maximise the player's value, no shock there.

Every man and their dog knows that Vlahovic isn't a 100m euro player.

Come on now.

And a neat way of not answering the question, basically saying nothing and throwing the press off the scent.

Still pretty uncertain about whether these are even vaguely true tbh

Probably trying to scare us into accepting their bid for Kane so they drop their bid for Vlahović and we go after him as a Kane replacement.

Rafa Mir is now going to Sevilla. Rumours Athletico now going for Moffi (who I believe an ITK linked us with) so wouldn’t be surprised if he was going to City now

I’m not sure the club will be bothered if they want to bid for Vlahovic or not, especially if we know they don’t actually want him.
Not to mention, anytime City get thrown into a convo, the price gets hiked…a price that City would probably have to pay extra via the Kane transfer.

Why do I have the feeling this is a sneaky stunt to get Atletico out of the picture so we can go for Vlahovic that would unlock Kane to City?
No?
