Everton looks decent on paper. Hopefully their new guys don’t settle. Worry about our creativity.

Everton have spent upwards of £400m across three seasons and finished 13th, I can’t see them coming on leaps and bounds with the additional £40m they’ve spent this window.

I’m sure Jose will have pointed out that their new signings have barely had a chance to train together.

I think they’re there for the taking.

Predicting 3-0 Spurs.

That Everton line up suddenly looks damn strong. Allan and Doucoure shielding and Richarlison and James playing off DCL.

Glad Ndombele is on the bench at least.

If he really has turned around, then i'd be surprised if Jose doesn't give him a run at 60 or 75 to reinforce the change/behavior. Of all things, Jose's attention to mentality would suggest that turning TN into an every game player could have as much benefit to the team as just about any incoming player.

No surprises, except maybe Hart on bench which is harsh on Gazza. Can see him leaving before window closes

Hojberg and Doherty makes us look so much more solid. Really looking forward to Hojbjerg and Lo Celso forming a solid base for attacks and plenty of cover for defence if this is our preferred formation.

Yeah they've gone from having one of the worst midfields in the league to one of the best. They do look very possession oriented, though, so hopefully that will play into our hands and we can hit them on the break.

New signings can go either way early in the season. No debut goals from the new Everton boys please.

We're certainly missing the flair that Eriksen and Dembele brought us (or in a previous era Midric, Van der Vaart and Bale), but that is a seriously strong bench. Best squad (not team) ever?

I would start Bergwijn over Lucas every game but José's picked exactly the XI I expected he'd pick with Lo Celso out.

Happy enough with the side.
