Like I've said before, he's certainly physical and there's something to work with. But on the admittedly only a couple of occasions I've seen him play, he seems a bit rash in his decision making.

That said, he's young, and does have some good traits.

Can only assume one of our current centre backs, my guess is Foyth, is close to leaving if we've revived interest in this chap.

what a waste of a purchase? Purely commercial based in my limited opinon on the matter. We have 3 centre backs that will always start ahead of him, plus in my opinon he wont be better than foyth, has less potential to grow and is another foreign player? I cannot see any gain in the transfer and would be pretty annoyed as we'd probably be paying more money to weaken the squad?

I’d rather keep Foyth who I think is a genuine class prospect (who should go out on loan).

We’ve had ITK that we’re looking at 3 centre backs. I assume based on previous ITK that they’re Min-Jae, Kumbulla and Skriniar.

I know we were heavily linked with Kumbulla several months ago but he looked to be heading to Inter. The deal has since fallen through so hope he’s the one we go for.

Don’t know anything about him (Kumbulla) tbh.

There has been constant commentary from most ITK and also the media that if/when Foyth leaves, we will be looking for another CB. I’m curious if other positions are the same, if Sissoko and Lamela draw suitable bids, would we go after another DM/CM and AM/WF.
Sounds like Skriniar is the bigger priced option, Kumbulla next one down, and then Kim as cheaper option, perhaps decision will be made based on what’s in the budget after other sales/purchase.
Oh, and for those questioning Kim’s decision making, we have one of the best CB’s the club has ever had now coaching our first team, not abad mentor. You can’t teach size and pace, that’s what this guy has. You can however teach decision making.

And a South Korean national hero to help him acclimate to life and football in Europe.

I’ve been thinking the same thing about what King could do with Kim. In terms of physical ability and pace, Kim looks an absolute worldie.

Not quite sure our supposed list of CB targets (the 3 that have been mentioned in the last few posts) are correct.

Can't see how you can have the experienced, probably expensive and definitely expecting to be a first team starter Skriniar on a list along with two relatively inexperienced 'prospects'. Surely we are either after a first XI player or a young, up and comer, who'll hopefully become a regular in the next few years ?

Skriniar isn't a target, he's just been mentioned in relation to swap deal involving Ndombele, which looks a non starter now.

I’d rather give CCV or Tanganga more game time then then sign this guy.
Yep especially Tanganga, really don't think we need to sign another CB when we now have Dier Toby Sanchez and Tanganga and mabye one of CCV or Foyth if we don't well them both, unless Jose sees Tanganga as full back cover in which case yes we need a 4th CB to replace the hole left from Jan.

I can only assume they are tiered based on how other pieces of the transfer jigsaw fit into place. If we have to go deep on a fee for a CF, then provably have to sacrifice at CB with a cheaper option Etc.

I’d rather we spent the money on a striker but I don’t get the evidence that CCV is a better prospect than this bloke- he may still make an EPL defender but I doubt that will be with us. We all hope our kids come good, I’ve always liked Foyth for example but he’s got a thread loose somewhere.

He seriously looks bang average. The Chinese Super League is such a low quality competition and he hasn’t stood out at all in the matches I’ve watched this season.

I really don’t think this will happen —especially considering we currently have 17 non-HG players and the majority of strikers we’ve been linked to [or ITK has mentioned] are foreign, so we’ll already need to clear a spot in the squad for a ST.
