I am not going to name and shame but some of the names who " have not renewed " are the same people that post on the match day forum home games.
I am not sure they are in fact season ticket holders they realy just seem to want to do down everything thats happening to the club at the moment The point I am getting across is you can't be at the match whilst posting on here unless you take a computer with you everywhere .
And I dont know if you can post using a phone at a match but if you can and you are at a match posting to spurs community I suggest you seek help.

Just sayin, the WiFi at the new stadium is excellent so using your phone would be quite easy... and with the standard of football last season, I could understand why some are on SC and not watching

So what's the betting the season ticket pack will contain a mask? Perhaps chuck in a corona test too please...

I renewed but I really don't think I'll go...

I mean numbers going up yet they allow fans in stadiums... Just erm not a great idea but understand why it has to be done.

I'd definitely go if I didn't have to take public transport to get there. If the membership packs could contain taxi vouchers that would be much nicer!

I didn't renew my ST. I've been attending matches since 1951 and have been a season ticket holder for 15 years.

As someone who is on the Covid-19 shielding register and has a 5 hour round trip to the stadium on public transport. I couldn't see any way that I would be attending games in the coming season. I could have chosen to defer but I objected to having to pay a non-refundable deposit.

I renewed my season tickets, I waited years to get them, I am not giving them up, now.
I went to 8 games this season before covid -19, I cannot wait to get back when it is safe. Unfortunately US citizens are still under a quarantine to the UK.

Posted this in stadium thread but thought it fits here too and people probably would be interested:

I follow Brighton on twitter and noticed they had a return to stadia article so had a read through and there's some pretty interesting stuff on it. It mentions a 6-PL club working group, I would have imagined we would be on this as we've already seen that Levy is keen to open as quickly as possible. I've picked out the bits that I think are either relevant or could be applied at Spurs, such as Season-ticket stuff, , ballots and track and trace. Two articles are here and here

  • Barber is on a six-club Premier League working party which is supporting the league’s efforts with government to help devise the process for clubs at all levels of the game to begin to bring fans back into stadiums over the coming weeks and months.

At last night’s event he revealed that the club has offered to stage a test event which, subject to Government approval, could take place at the Amex as soon as Saturday week, albeit at a significantly reduced capacity, with the Albion and other clubs potentially working towards returning to higher capacities, and ultimately to full capacities, at the earliest and safest opportunity.

  • Fans will automatically be entered into EVERY match ballot, and each match will be subject to a fresh ballot (eg – if you are successful in one, you are NOT ruled out of the next). However, there are two key considerations for all season-ticket holders and 1901 Club members.

Firstly, there is an opt-out and fans can choose to sit out up to six ballots (two per match category) across the season.
Secondly, you need to let us know if you wish to attend in a group. If you choose to attend in a group this will not diminish or improve your chances of success.
However it is important to note, that you can only join one group for the season, although members of the group can still opt out of individual games.
Groups will be capped at a maximum of five people. If you do not enter the group ballot you will be assumed to be happy to attend matches on your own.

  • Those general admission season-ticket holders successful in the ballot will then be able to select a seat in their price band or below, from those available. Those who do not select seats will automatically be issued with a ticket by the club; please note, groups may also be split at this point depending on availability.

Fans who are successful in the ballot, will also have the option of listing on the season-ticket exchange, should their circumstances change, with funds returned to credit card or bank account, and not to credit balance if their ticket sells.

Crucially, this will also provide a second chance to those who miss out in the ballot process.

  • Track and trace: Firstly, fans must only use tickets allocated to them, and subject to it being in place, have the track-and-trace app on the phone. Currently many venues are using sign-in systems or old fashioned pen and ink guest books – but at a football stadium this just isn’t possible, but the government will need us to register who attends, should there be a localised outbreak.

So it is absolutely essential you use the ticket in your name and bring photo ID with you that matches the ticket - checks will be carried out for all fans - and when attending you have the track-and-trace app switched on. Further details on this will be shared in due course.

  • What we can do to help we will, for example we are looking at ways to extend parking available, and we are also considering a drop-off and pick-up facility close to, but away from stadium. Match tickets will be valid as usual on public transport across the city and further afield.

Spurs have specifically stated in all their communications ( including private ones to myself ) and on the website that no ST has any obligation to enter into any ballots.

So if they then renege on that with “opt outs” up to a maximum etc then they are taking the piss. I wouldn’t put it past them to try though.

I have renewed and my Dad has deferred and I have no intention of entering any ballots, unless the COVID situation changes.

I jusy went to the offical website to check something else and got a pop-up inviting me to register my interest in a 2020/21 season ticket. I don't know what that says about renewals.

The 60000 match goers missing out on games they would have otherwise seen is irrelevant to Sky, BT, Amazon etc given the hundreds of millions of subscribers they have worldwide. Just means that it’ll be illegal stream city next season.

Hopefully common sense prevails and they realise the PR benefit of making all matches available until stadiums can reopen, but I’m not holding my breath.

Isn't that advertising womens season tickets rather than the mens?

If they want to combat streams, they need all games to be televised, not just now but forever. The idea that people are going to just listen to their team's game on the radio or wait for Match of the Day in 2020 is ludicrous - if you don't give them a legal way to watch it, a far greater number will find a different way.

Longer term if they're brave enough, I think the future is for them to abandon Sky etc and sell the games directly in the UK. At a fee of £250 per year, 7 million subscribers would be enough to make more than they get right now and would obviously be much more accessible too - if for that fee you got access to every PL match I think the numbers streaming would collapse.

nope. Not sure what the damn delay is either. Have you heard?

Nothing. Wouldn't mind if they could just put something out saying it's still being looked at. I will give the ticket up if I can't move my seat, I love going to the games but really dislike my seat
