I'm not even in the anti Jose brigade but if that was tactically spot on then it's clearly worked. Worked... by which I mean making us that shit ..an okay performance brings in comments like that.

I just watched two teams who had two managers brought midway in the season. One team has a clear pattern of play and the other team swaps their tactics every game as we haven't a got a clue what we are actually good at. He is making us defensively solid ...not hard when the team sits so deep.. interesting how you can continue with that tactic when playing on the front foot??

Yes we have beaten them but it in my opinion if we fast forward 12 months time, I have a feeling whose team is going to be a hell of a lot better then the other and it's not the one we follow.

Feel free to neg rep me but you lot have been brainwashed.

I thought our play was more distinctive/purposeful than their's. I don't recall any chance where they really split our defense open, whereas we opened them up repeatedly. They only scored because of a scorcher

Today was the first match since restart that I could actually tell what formation and what the intent was for Spurs. Playing a 442 with Lucas and Sissoko having the ability to drop back to help defend made a huge difference today. Opens up midfield for GLC to get forward and Son/Kane to make runs up top.

Only problems today were GLC died at half time, Winks was awful, and Kane wasted chances.

Some of you need to accept that this is the style of play that will continue to the end of the season. Jose likes being in europe and top 4 isnt guaranteed next season so if there is a way to get us in the europa, tough ask atm, then jose will want to be in it and try win that trophy.

We are fucking at home yet we sit so deep as if we are 18th placed Aston Villa praying to just get a point. This is not Spurs and its not fun and I don't even think it can/will be successful but even if it is we'll have all fallen asleep by the time we reach any cup finals. The Jose gamble was a bad one, even if we win this I don't care this is just so boring, we watch Tottenham for some enjoyment, be brave have a go, sure be pragmatic at times or in big away games but honestly this is just draining to watch.
@Hercules @beats1 @jay2040 you might disagree but wtf doesn't make sense here. If you're happy with us in our home games and most of our other games just sitting back with a low block, having very little possession just trying to hit teams on the break then fine, like today showed it can work but its extremely boring and not something I and may others enjoy sitting through week in week out, we could've just as easily have lost that match, credit where its due Jose's tactics were spot on today but come on how much enjoyable sustained possession and attacking play was there?

Great result - plenty work to do still - plenty. This is bound to be filled with “told you so, all the Jose detractors have gone quiet” and “we’re still shit and I want him gone”. It would be nice just to have a bit of calm, acceptance that there is lots of work to do (and not just for Mourinho but Levy too) and it’s likely that DL will be sticking with him for the time being.

I hope we do make the Europa League and I hope I'm wrong in the long term.

Fair points but I'm talking about what I have seen from them in prior matches and what I have seen from us previously. I know people don't like praising Arsenal but I think Arteta will make them a good team once again.

Weren’t you Jose’s biggest fan about a week ago?
Please feel free to dig out any of my messages a week ago which show I'm his 'biggest fan' otherwise stop chatting rubbish.

Yes I've tried to be positive and get behind him and I pointed out a lot of positives and how we'd improved as I'm not going to cut my nose off to spite my face and deny that he's done any good but the limp boring attacking play against Everton, West Ham and especially Bournemouth to me is not how I enjoy watching Spurs play and I don't see Jose changing that style.

Sure it can be effective like today but my god it can be boring and watching that style week in week out isn't very enjoyable.

Yeah, we had 24% in 2nd half. We also scored a goal, had more shots, shots on target. And both clubs had the same number of touches in the box - 11
