Can't argue with it fair assessment he is kind of saying we are a mess but doing it tactfully.pretty spot on from Jenas to be fair. huge summer ahead

Looking at the attitude of Ancelotti and the Everton players is a millions miles off from us. What’s happened to our club.
He can’t really, given the Everton squad has been invested in quite heavilyit's almost like Ancelotti isn't using lack of squad or short term in management as an excuse for setting up a football team
The football wasn’t great I agree but it has got undoubtedly worse and the results no better. Do you think we have a chance to get to a final this year for example ?
We got rid of Poch on the back of those performances on the promises of top 4 and trophies. Mourinho isn’t a long term build manager , he won’t be here for 3/4 seasons. He is one of the most expensive managers in the world and the narrative has changed from a few players here and there (loves to work with these players) to a whole rebuild job job and the football will get no better under him whatever happens.

Stats can be deceiving though since there was a number of games in which we rode our luck which skewed those stats, I think now we are seeing some of that luck even itself out with some of the results we are witnessing yesterday we didn't deserve the win which is exactly what we got. Before Son got injured only Liverpool had a better points tally since Mourinho took over. Honestly how can you say that the results have got no better seriously man?

Nope thats YOUR characterisation of it. I don't think you can assert that the the "vast majority" agree the football is worse with anything more meaningful that its just your opinion. As I said previously, the football since last January in the league was abject, with a particular nadir being Brighton away this season. It might FEEL that the football is getting worse, but that might be due to your own unconscious bias rather than anything else.
What can't be disputed is that results initially significantly improved but have recently tailed off again.
Because he wanted De Ligt Grealish DybalaThis was what I always wondered about Poch. It's been alluded to on here that he turned his nose up at the likes of Perreira, Maddison, Maguire etc...
Yup and I want a Ferrari unfortunately it's out of my price range so I have to go for something more achievable. Surely he should have had a top 3 target in the positions he was looking to recruit in otherwise our scouting system is pointless.Because he wanted De Ligt Grealish Dybala
Maybe the next tier down wasn't an improvement on the squad (at the time) .Yup and I want a Ferrari unfortunately it's out of my price range so I have to go for something more achievable. Exactly, most of those players have only been in the door in the last two years or so, so they have no 'end of cycle' excuses. Sure, it's not Ancelotti's squad yet but we have far deeper concerns than them.He can’t really, given the Everton squad has been invested in quite heavily
the same Everton squad that has been a mid-table team for years while we were CL finalists?
You have to compromise as a coach, you simply have to. Have faith in your coaching.Yup and I want a Ferrari unfortunately it's out of my price range so I have to go for something more achievable. No way was Nije Janssen Nkoudo even Moura and Aurier Pochittinho choices. He basically got fed up with second rate options.. and insisted on first choice. You have to compromise as a coach, you simply have to. Have faith in your coaching.
I always feel Poch paid too much attention to the unsuccessful buys (Njie, Janssen, Nkoudou) when he should have been thinking about the successful ones (Wanyama, Toby, Trippier, Sanchez, Son, Davies).
Every club gets bad transfers at some point. I think he wanted too much control sometimes.
But if he wanted De-Ligt he must have thought there was a chance other clubs would come in and to have an alternative option?Maybe the next tier down wasn't an improvement on the squad (at the time) .
The classic example was Robinson at Liverpool, at the time he went to pool Rose was on fire.
Unfortunately standing his ground didn't seem to work. Evidently however Liverpool do their business, it's not the way that we do our business. Perhaps it's the scouting that needs looking at?No way was Nije Janssen Nkoudo even Moura and Aurier Pochittinho choices. People saying oh Pochittinho should be more flexible he was.. But there comes a time when you stand your ground a demand your first choice.... Just look at Liverpool
