Just about to say Watford have some decent players. Then the big **** goes and busts the smallest one of theirs knee. Hope Pearson sticks the nut on the big Dutch fairy(y)

Yeah but he done it with financial doping. I'm not saying it isn't an achievement but it's slightly tainted.
Now he's on a level playing field he looks awful. His team look dreadful. There's not a team on the league i wouldn't back against Bournemouth, and that's down to the manager. Disjointed football, and a weak mentality.
He looks like a nice dude so he gets an easy ride, but his record for the last few seasons isn't good, and if you actually watch Bornemouth regularly you'd realise they're one of the worst coached teams in the league. All imo of course
He got them up to the Championship with minimal financial backing, they were pretty ropey in the 18 months in League One where he was away at Burnley and he immediately put them right. The financial windfall from a cup tie against Liverpool helped.

It was only in the Championship the Russian owner decided to spend his way into the PL, which I agree they should've had a much harder punishment for. He's still taken Callum Wilson from Coventry, Josh King (who loves him, btw) from Blackburn, discarded youth players from various clubs including Spurs (Smith and Daniels) and other players who are not what you'd expect to be PL quality and made them a fun to watch PL side. They added Ryan Fraser from Aberdeen and David Brooks from Sheffield United and when they were both fit last season they were a really good team.

I said above, Howe has two huge failings. He doesn't spend big money well, and he struggles to organise a defence, and that's why I wouldn't want him at Spurs. But a bad manager he is not.

Are you being sarcastic?? Mate Wilder's good, Santo's good, even the Norwich dude has a plan. Howe is fucking dog shit. His team's have no cohesion and he wastes a ton of money.
I'll give him this, he can get a team playing for a third of a season to stave off relegation.

He isnt shit - why do we have to judge teams, managers and players as either end of the spectrum? In my opinion he is pretty good but needs to improve his tactical nous and being a tad more pragmatic

:)

mad. VVD made no attempt for the ball and shoved him with an outstretched arm whilst he was off balance
Yet I bet you'll find Liverpool fans defending him to the hilt who accused Son of all sorts with Andre Gomes.

Would take Doucoure at Spurs big time. Wonder if he's someone Jose is looking at

There is a proper player in there undoubtedly.

This could be the year that some serious talent is up for grabs come relegation time.
Grealish, Cantwell, Aarons, Lewis, Doucoure all good players, then there’s Sarr, Deulofau, Mings, Perarya, Capoue, Pukki etc

At the time of the last finances report Bournemouth had the 19th highest wage bill in the Prem. Financially doped clubs don't have such low salaries.

He did get them to the Prem at a time when TV money greatly increased but most would agree keeping such a small club in the Prem is a good achievement. In the last 3 seasons they have finished 9th, 12th and 14th.

If you don't rate the football they play then fair enough but making out they are financially doped when they clearly aren't in a big way hurts your point.

They broke FFP rules in their promotion season from the Championship and received a big fine for it - which they obviously paid with a portion of their PL money so they made a net profit from breaking the rules anyway.

But yes all the time they've been in the PL they've toed the line.

Whisper it quietly but the way Liverpool are playing tonight Watford could well hang on to this.

Dijk on his heels there

He’s obviously a class player but I’ve my doubts about him when the chips are down and everything is going against you. Not saying that’s today of course!

Watch him score two now

The season they got promoted they had a net spend of £3.6m. The year before £1.4m and the season before £1.5m.

They received the fine for accruing losses. Very different to being financially doped and spending big.
