So glad that I gave my ticket to a mate. I had the pleasure of moshing with The Strokes at the Roundhouse. I’m still buzzing. Unlike the spurs fans at Finsbury Park????

Excellent stuff. An unwanted result and once again we have Spurs fans questioning the support of other Spurs fans.

Do you know what?

That's what's pathetic.

Mourinho seems to be using these rope a dope tactics as his only way to play. The trouble is most teams we play have the ability to score if allowed to have plenty of the ball so aiming to outlast them then attack in the last 20mins is flawed.
We look so much better when we play attacking football. Winks for example changed from a weak player who can’t hold the ball up or pass decisively into a quality attacking midfielder ... as he did once we were a goal down.
Frustrated but happy with the form of GLC as well as that of Sanchez. Others too played well and for the most part tried to make things happen. The tactics we adopted though didn’t help them to shine

On train home and pondering tonight’s game. Maybe I’m a glass half full kind of person but I honestly feel that with Son or Kane we could have nicked that game. They definitely had weaknesses at the back but we just couldn’t take advantage. Thought Lo Celso, Hugo, Toby and Winks (second half) did well. Obviously some poor performances too. I do worry how this group carry the team for the remainder of the season though - they all looked shot at the end.

Not only physically, buy mentally. Jose has a real tough job on his hands keeping the players believing. They’re not stupid and will know what a predicament we are in. Unless we can pull a decent result or two out without our two best attacking players then it will be hard to convince the squad we can achieve anything this season.

Operator:"911 Whats your emergency?"

Me:"I would like to report a murder"

Operator: "Do you have any information on the suspect"

Me: "Yes.. Timo Werner absolutely murdered Aurier tonight"

Was really annoying to see Davies give away the exact same penalty in a champions league tie again. I knows he's just come back but it was just a poor decision

Historically, culturally we have never been that club.

Audere est facere

The game is about glory.

Some of us have never seen real glory. I'll take a trophy whatever way it comes. All this 'the spurs way' thing is nonsense, makes us sound like West ham

Did you think Werner was that good? I certainly didn't. I was actually really looking forward to see him play due to all the plaudits he gets on here, but I wasn't overly impressed. He was fine but no game changer. If he goes to another team in the prem I wouldn't give a shit.

Always interests me that as fans we watch the same game but see things very differently. I thought Werner was quality tonight and his link up play with Angelino was impressive. Aurier just could not cope at all.

25 goals in 31 games for Werner this season and it was easy to see why. Would love to see him at Spurs.

While I agree with this post, your previous post attempting to put down Aurier was not quite accurate.

We really missed someone to hold the ball up and bring others into play. It's all very well playing on the counter but when you're inviting as much pressure as we did in the first half, there's no out ball without a target man and all you do is just hand the ball back to them all the time.

Letting Llorente leave was a mistake, as was not signing another striker. Not that that matters now obviously.

You're being a bit daft here mate, incompetence doesn't get a club like Tottenham from where it was, to where it is today.
I don’t think I am. I didn’t say the club was incompetent, I said that there are some incompetent people at the club. It is, with all respect, a different thing.

It’s laughable, however, that we still haven’t invested in a striker after all these years of riding our luck with Kane, when all the signs were there that we needed one. And now we’re fucked for the rest of the season because both Kane and Son are out for most, if not all of it. That’s shoddy organisational management

To me RBL reminded me of Spurs about 3 seasons ago,
Young, quick, good transition, fast pressing, and a lot better than the team we are now.

Well at least we are still in the game. Also we showed that although they were the better team tonight, they can be got at.

Probably stupidly but I fancy our chances of going there and getting a win. We just need to work on a system without a striker. Moura up top on his own which was the case too much in the first half won't cut it.

Lo Celso looking really good now and with Lamela coming back we have a bit more creativity.

Listening to Emil Forsberg post-match, he's pointing out that the team was "Very shocked" about how low we dropped. Christ.
