Honestly don’t know what better option people want.

He’s not going to be asked to score loads, just hold the ball up and open up the space Son, Lucas and SB etc need to run to score. We’ve already seen in the games without a focal point the wingers just run themselves into defenders, he’ll help massively in pulling centre backs out of position.

He banged them in during Europa League last year too so it’s not like he’s goal shy like other choices.

Also, he’s only a short term option that won’t block Parrot and he’s super motivated to prove himself for going to the Euros.

And finally, it’ll piss of the gooner twats and he’s fit as fuck. Sign me up!

4 weeks since Kane was ruled out for season. 6 months since Llorente left. And yet, we still are struggling to nail down a striker. What our scouts do, I’ll never know. Complete waste of time. Don’t think Giroud will happen or others. ITK pretty negative about chances of any striker now.

We've clearly had giroud as an option for more than a few days. Let's be honest though - this one was a no go from the start.
Agreed surely as many have said on here . No way would Chelsea sell us a player that might improve us.

so surely the club are not daft enough to be strung along by that mob. Seems just a waste of time to me

If it's OG, then so be it. We're entering a very important phase of our season and whilst we have been playing fairly well, we are struggling to score goals. OG will be a stop gap and we all know that he's good at scoring crucial goals.

Flirting with A&C's ban baton is harder to resist than Sarah the PA at work. She's gives out hand shandies as readily as he drops the guillotine.

I think there will be a Cavani hour or so tomorrow, likely ending in tears.

Could the OG links be similar to the Ryan Babel VDV transfer? The time Levy held up the Liverpool cash flow so they couldn’t make the signing, and we swooped in for the kill. If OG doesn’t move, then Chelsea can’t sign Cavani or anyone else.

All the ITK links point to Cavani, OG, Chelsea and us in a mix.

Why on earth would Chelsea let Giroud come to us ?
I’d imagine there’s a bit more to it than that. Giroud was adamant he was leaving at the end of last season and agreed to stay because of their transfer ban. The fact he did them a favour and the favour could cost him a place in the Euros it might see a softening of Chelsea’s position. He wants to stay in London by all accounts and they did allow Cech a move to Arsenal as he didn’t want to up root his family.

We do. I’d rather give Parrott a chance. And if not, we played without a striker when Kane has been out before with great success. It requires some tactical flexibility from Jose but remember spring 2018? We scored a against Bournemouth in an hour, 3 against Swansea in the cup and 3 in an hour away at Chelsea, no our and out striker in sight
You mean when we were playing at peak with a completely different manager, style, attitude and mentality?
