I’ve booked tickets to the cinema and will happily sit there with my phone switched off. Will switch it on at FT to see the inevitable defeat, just a matter of how big a defeat. The phone will go back off until Sunday. Coping mechanism 101 for you there lads.

7-1 to Liverpool.

And even more depressing is that we’ll be saying ‘could have been worse, they should have scored more than 7’ by the end of the game.

At my lowest ebb with supporting Spurs since tactics Tim was revolutionising how the game should be played.

Please give us something to smile about today. Thought not holding out any hope.

They are much better in every postion, we need ~10 new signings to match them. We concede goals to everyone, they are best defensive team in the league and we basically start 0-1 vs them. Plus it will be old school route one football vs new modern pressing style, they'll teach us a football lesson tonight.

1-0 spurs after 93 mins of Jose shit-housery.

Van dijk own goal, off his face.

Let me dream.

hopefully, him and robertson run into each other and the ball deflects off one of their nostrils, either one i dont care! theyre both ****s.

Really looking forward to this one. Liverpool are a decent attacking team which will suit us, so we won't need to worry about breaking them down.

Were at home as well which gives us an extra advantage, plus we have a more experienced manager. All in all I'm pretty confi.... Nah who am I kidding. Well lose, probably by four.

In two minds about this match. I always want us to win but if we give them a good game it might just paper over the obvious cracks in our squad and give the club the club an excuse not to invest in our problem areas this transfer window.

Always a horrible game for me as hubby a Liverpool fan. Normally I feel confident we’ll give them a good game (and used to feel we would win) but today could be really unpleasant.

As always I’ll be at the ground cheering as much as I can and hoping we can spring a surprise.

Worry is what teams around us do as Chelsea, Utd have easy-ish games on paper. That said all teams are completely unpredictable at the moment.

I think today is a win/win the more I think about it. Nobody expects us to get anything in all seriousness. Liverpool bossing the league like FIFA career mode and we're atrocious defensively (not to mention injuries galore). This is the game Jose might see who he can depend on in the future. I pray to God that he used this week to prepare defensively and to be solid, disciplined. For us to get anything we need to be concentrating 100% from first to last whistle.

Never felt more stress free going into a game v Liverpool in all honesty. Expect nothing, so anything is a bonus. All I ask is that those in the ground attempt to make it a fortress and get the atmosphere going. Just wish it wasn't 5.30 so we can get on with it, though.

It’s pretty obvious that without our best players in important positions (Lloris, Sanchez, Ndombele and Kane), we are going to get a hammering. I certainly won’t be watching and will just take a cursory glance at the phone every now and then to see how many goal texts I have.

I believe it will be 4-5 nil to them unfortunately.

I’ve never been more pessimistic before a game. I give us about 5% chance of winning.

Without our best CF and CM, players out of form, a lack of genuine quality in key areas, facing the best team in Europe.

It’s going to be a horribly one sided game and very depressing.

I sold my ticket and probably won’t watch in TV either. At least I won’t be going out of my way, I’ll be in town so unless I come across a pub and TV, forget it.

I'd be shocked if we had any bit of a good performance let alone a win or a draw.

I can't remember not wanting to watch a match as much as this one and I've never actively looked to do something else other than watch a Spurs game until today.

exactly the same as me mate!
