One issue they need to sort out is letting the away fans leave pretty much straight away after the final whistle.

Now they are located in the North East corner as opposed to the Park Lane end they exit at the top of Worcester Avenue. Which is the way I go home. It is a very narrow area and already against Palace there was a few issues with fans mixing.

They can have as many police there as they like, but if they do this for Chelsea and a West Ham there will be trouble.

I really hope so, looked great. I have always loved the tifos from European football.

Don’t think we should have one there every game, but certainly on the big occasions like last night.
No not every home game as they will eventually become meaningless but would like to see it again

Im with him on that one, I’d rather we sing about Spurs and our own players than waste time and effort singing about that puddle of piss over the road
Agree. If we were playing them then sure. But rather we don't mention them. It was our night, not theirs.

Anyone use seven sisters last night?

What was it like, I went to Tottenham Hale and got on a tube straight away.

Regarding the standing, the blocks are too big for stewards to tell people in the middle of them to sit down. I’m in the middle of 257 and there’s no way. A steward can get to us there to tell us to sit.
I went Tottenham Hale as well (first time using it as an experiment). Don't think that many people actually use it, hopefully stays that way. Slightly closer than Seven Sisters (according to google maps) and gets me on Victoria Line easy enough. Might use it again for midweek games.

Getting out of North level 5 was insane though. Took an age to get out of the stand itself then the stadium.

The pitch is clearly not quite right. Watched the 1st half and in the close up TV shots you can see lots of divots. And there’s already a marked up area in one 6 yard box. But Darren has said they know what the issue is. I actually wonder what it is I didn’t push him on it but I’m sure will be sorted for next season. I guess the real test will be the first extended period under the stand. But what a night, can honestly say that’s the best all round experience I’ve ever had at a football match.

Okay, what is going on with the grass though. Was coming up in chunks tonight and players were slipping everywhere.

I didn't think the grass and hybrid system was new, just the sliding part. The grass should have set in, it's been there since October.

I thought it was quite bad last night as well. Players from both sides were slipping over throughout the match. I just hope it doesn't cause any more injuries for us.

Very Jealous of everyone that went yesterday. The crowd sounded amazing for the whole game, Well done. I have no doubt if that was Wembley we would have lost. Crowd definitely made a difference.

Yesterday was my first game there and it's just incredible, hats off to Levy and the Club because it really is magnificent.

I got there about 45 mins before kick off and the concourses were pretty rammed but we went up a couple of levels and managed to get a drink and food within 10-15 minutes.

Being in the South Stand I was dreading the thought of half time with over 17,000 people in the same stand but I was amazed how well organised the Marketplace is. I left just before the half time whistle, managed to walk into one of the many toilets fairly quickly and then down to the Marketplace and get served almost immediately. Seriously impressed.

It did take a little while to get out after the FT whistle but I suspect that was due to the circumstances of the game, people wanting to stay until the end and that I'm in Row 7, so I'm far down and close to the front. Walking up to Seven Sisters and getting the tube from there was surprisingly straight forward as well, yes there's more people but they managed the flow of people traffic well.

In hindsight I'm really pleased we didn't open in September, it would have been an absolute nightmare with things half finished and the impact of going to a building site for the first time instead of this incredible looking stadium would have definitely taken the shine off going home.

I thought the same. Whenever they zoomed in on players etc. you could see the grass was in a right state. Proper chunks coming out of it all over the place. Also just in front of goal the grass is all gone where the keepers strafe side to side along the goal line. I understand that grass wears out over time but it doesn't seem right to me that it's already worn down to mud less than half way through only the 4th game played on it (including the test ones). I had chalked the "slipping" thing off as just being due to the weather before the Palace game but having seen people slip again last night, and the state of the pitch already, I can't help but think something's not right with the grass. Whether it's just going to take a while to bed in or whether it's something more major I don't know. But you can see clear as day that the pitch is really not right at the moment.

Pitch is fine. Will just take a bit of time for the groundstaff to find exactly how much watering it needs to be in optimum condition.

What an amazing night, probably one of the best atmospheres at a game I’ve been to!

We had a slight issue with standing in the east upper. There is a row of lads that stand up after almost break into the opponents half, then spend another 20 secs standing after the play finishes before sitting down. Even though all the rows in front of them are down already. I thought the general rule of thumb was if the rows in front of you are seated, you sit down...

It’s not a massive issue for me, but we have a little kid next to us and he couldn’t see the majority of attacks and had to watch key moments like the penalty via the TV screen.

I didn’t want to grass to the stewards as you don’t want to get off on the wrong foot with people you will be sitting around for most games. Hopefully the stewards will actually do something if it persists next game.
Just have a quiet word with the ones at your block entrance as you go up to your seat for the next game.

Pretty much happens to every new pitch. The bonus is this acts as a mini-test phase and then they've got the whole summer to fix any issues.

Fair play. I guess I've just never paid as much attention to other teams' new pitches. I remember Wembley having a notoriously bad pitch back when it opened but I always just attributed that to the fact that everything about the Wembley project was pretty much a complete shitshow.

As long as we keep winning games I couldn't care less if the pitch is "good". If anything, having a bad pitch that we are used to playing on could be an advantage as visiting teams wont be used to it.

I don’t think the pitch is terrible or I’m sure pep would have mentioned it. I think it’s just cutting up a bit more than they’d like.

I imagine the pitch needs to be played on a number of times to bed in properly.

It will be interesting to see if the mosaic changes in the future and how they determine it. I guess they'll get feedback from the supporters trust. I would do it for Champions League and NLD only but maybe change it from time to time.

Both games have seen a number of players slipping, and struggling to change direction. Though it's up to them to wear the correct boots/studs......

But I said from the start of the build it would be interesting to see how the pitch played and that there would inevitably be teething issues before they got it right. Look at most stadiums with a retractable pitch, or uses a pallet/tray system for the turf, and it tends to be on the soft side and cuts up easily and some of the surfaces are shocking. Ours seems perfectly fine to play on, but I think they'll be working on it for the initial few years to get it as close to perfect as they can.

I managed to get a couple of tickets for the huddersfield game this morning. I have the email confirmations but they're not showing up in my account as seats other than in the purchased section. Does anyone know when if it takes a while to show up?

Changing direction didn’t seem to affect Son
