Makes sense if that is why he is making a comeback 3 years out really bad shoulder injury must be for the money.
I'm sure it's a huge factor but I do also think there's professional motivation there too

He was potentially a British boxing legend. The best cruiserweight since Holyfield bar none and like Evander he stepped up to also become the heavyweight champion battling bigger men in the process

There's not too many British boxers who did as well as he did yet now his memory is tarnish to the extent where he is a bit of s joke

He ran his mouth so much before the Wladimir fight that he just made himself look stupid when he failed to back any of his big talk up in the ring (when in truth losing to Wlad was far from something to be ashamed of and had he not talked so much prior to the fight he'd have probably been admired for going toe toe to with such a great champion and not being knocked out)

The toe excuse compounded issues plus the joke of an Audley fight and the two flopped fights against Fury - he became a joke figure and then did they whole I'm a celeb reality tv post fighting career

His boxing legacy is really not where it should be or indeed deserves to be what all he did achieve. So while there's a lot of money out there to make if indeed he is in need there is also a rather thin pool of heavyweight talent which presents him with a second opportunity to cement his legacy in a more positive light (like foreman made his legacy more than getting sparked in the DR Congo by coming back to destroy Michael Moorer)

I'm no expert of boxing but honestly, but what has Haye even achieved as a heavy weight up until now?

He's one of only 2 British world heavyweight champions in the 21 first century

I can only think of 3 others in the past 100 years and I think he's one of 5 champions from the uk ever

It's not to be taken lightly - plus as I mentioned before his career is more than his heavyweight career, he was a unified cruiserweight world champion prior to making the step up.

My point is very few men from these shores have done what Haye has in boxing - even if you choose to isolate it to his heavyweight career. He's also only one of two heavyweight champions from the uk in the last 100 years who were both born and raised (learnt their boxing skills) here in the uk. (Although I dunno if akinwande learned to box while in Nigeria or when he moved back to uk)

Not even a fan of boxing but I hope Klitschko knocks Fury out. He's doing my head in, needs to be knocked down a peg or two.

I hope Fury keeps his head. I like him, away from the nonsense hype he is a nice chap. Obviously uneducated and from a different walk of life to most but he seems a decent person.

Been subjected to a lot of racism throughout his career. Pikey and similar terms are not only deemed to be acceptable racial insults thesedays but are actually encouraged it seems!

I don't think he is prepared anywhere near enough for Wlad though. Faced plodding, powderpuff punching fighters all his career who are usually much much shorter and lighter ( to be half expected given his "apparent" height...no way is he 6'9 )
I'd like to have seen him face a couple like Ustinov and Pulev before tackling Wlad. Even Thompson would have posed him some questions he has yet to answer.

While i don't particularly like Fury, and admire Wlad as he has been an incredible champion, what i enjoy more is an upset. Fury won't come out all guns blazing, he can be as flamoyent as he likes in front of the cameras, the look on his face at the weigh in spoke volumes, he knows this is a serious fight against a serious bloke, but i can't help think that Wlad might be happy to win on points but Fury want's to knock him over.

Will make it exciting but, as we've seen in the past enough times at this weight, even if Fury is pounding on the big man for eleven rounds, one solid punch lands and Wlad can put lights out.

Will be exciting - what time's the bell?

The problem fury will have will be similar to those haye faced post Wlad fight

So much smack talking

If like haye he fails to even remotely live up to it he will become a laughing stock - the guy who punched himself in the face and does silly shit like sing elvis songs and pretend to be batman

While he's undefeated it affords him a level of respect - as long as he puts up a decent fight he will still be marketable. If he loses badly he's going to be a bit of a clown and nothing more

I guess he could still carry enough weight in his name to create a buzz for a domestic fight against haye or even AJ to sell

Failing that a fight with Price?

I don't see how he stays relevant other than a domestic bout it he fails miserably tonight having acting like such a fool pre fight

Fury has to preform a lot better then haye did I really believed haye was going to give wlad loads of problems but he gave him none. The way haye talks I think he feels it was an achievement not to get ko.

Personally I think fury gets beaten easily I was impressed with his last performance against chisora thought he boxed well and stayed smart.I just think he is levels below wlad.Would like to see him in with haye or joshua think both knock him out but would be good while it lasted.

Do you think price will come back them ko losses have taken a lot out of him his chin just lets him down at a certain level.

I thought haye was going to get knocked out early by Wlad - I was surprised Wlad didn't really push for the KO after all Haye's smack talking

I wasn't overly impressed by fury vs chisora - look what haye did to delboy, I don't rate chisora at all

I personally think both haye and AJ would beat fury - though fury's size, reach and hand speed should be respected and I wouldn't write him off against either

Price I can't see ever coming back now - I think he might get thrown in with Joshua after White, just because he carries a reasonable name and offers a threat with his power

But after his latest KO I can't ever see price getting back on track - it's like his soul was snatched from the 3 knock outs. He has no belief and no chin

I was shocked to see him nullifying his own reach/size advantage last time out and just standing square to Teper in range with chin up asking to be punched like one of them punch bag machines you see in pubs

I think he's just very powerful but got over rated early because of his dramatic wins against cans and soon he got exposed (the manner in which he got exposed seems to have destroyed whatever he had to begin with too)

I'd still like to see price vs fury mind - a fight that should have happened at the time

I have to agree about Fury vs Chisora. Fury had to bend him over the ropes and hold him at the end to stop the blows coming in.

Boxing dont work like that mate. Just because A beat B, and C only just beat B. Doest mean B cant beat A.

Chisora probably did better against Wlad than Haye lol

I don't want to say the judges in Germany will be bias but I reckon Fury needs a KO to get at least a draw

You do wonder what these judges are watching sometimes I couldn't believe the canelo scorecard last week I thought he won the fight but one judge gave cotto just a single round puts you right off watching sometimes.

In the opening exchanges fury's very unorthodox style seems to have wlad baffled and he's looking to hang on to fury whenever they exchange

Fury looks confident and has started pretty well
