Irish.

Could pass as an Englisher 'cos I got a cocknee accent.

Going back many generations on the maternal line there were quite a few name changes which lead me to believe that there is some Welsh ancestry there.

Way back on the paternal side they are old Irish from way out in the wild and barren West of Ireland.

Even though it's not a true Nationality, I will still deem myself as Northern Irish.

Iranian as far back as is possible to trace. Born in London. Lived in London, Swindon and Frome (that's pronounced Froom, BTW) in Zomerzet (Somerset), which with the rose-tint of hindsight was the loveliest town I've ever seen.

Anyway, an Iranian Brit, that's me.

Australian (5th generation). There's a bit of English (Carlile), lots of Scottish and Irish and a touch of Chinese in the background.

I'm all for the citizens of the world theory. Although we all know deep down, human greed will never let that become a reality.

Finally, why are so many people unhappy at being English? I've traveled to 35 countries and IMO, England is the best country in the world. So much history, beautiful countryside, awesome cities and loads of great people. I lived in England (West London of course) for 2 years and would give anything to come back.

born in Ireland, lived in Ireland, Wales, England, Ireland, then Canada, so Irish primarily, but now certainly Canadian after being here for almost 20 years.

Supporting Spurs since 5 years old following my old man, after making a conscious decision to no longer support ipswich(after Spurs beat them convincingly sometime in the late 70's early 80's)

London is amazing, but honestly outside, here in york.... Its a completly different ball game, London is almost its own country you could say !

and the countryside Im not so sure about, I mean I think the italian countryside is a hell lot better, having done a lot of cycling there (well in the monferrato region, in Piemonte) and some of it really is enough to take you breath away..never got that feeling cycling outside york, or even walking the north york moores, but Carlton (near middlesbrough) is amazing
