I must of watched a different match. They seemed to have more possession but not once did i feel worried.
I think for me they had possession but did not really threaten Hugo. It’s more the fact we could not get a foothold in possession which worries me. I just think we miss that Dembele style player to take control of a game.

When Wham get knocked out of the Europa and finish outside top 6 Rice will be off.

Unbelievable player, absolute levels above anyone else in their squad.

Job done. Happily take that after the week we’ve had. Everyone’s ready to jump on any little slip up. They’ll be disappointed tonight.

best game from hugo in years. He's been a great captain. Bergwijn gets my motm unplayable for those 5 minutes.

Pretty clear we tired around the 70th minute. We had worked as hard as them all game and for the first twenty of the 2nd half we were keeping them well away from goal.

A better touch from Son and that becomes a comfortable end to the game.

We still need to do a lot better in some areas of attack, many occasions we chose the wrong option or were slow to release.

Again, a little more quality and that becomes comfortable.

The switch to 352 initially worked but after the Benhrama sub it just gave West Ham a bit more initiative to push up 10 yards or so and take hold of the game.

Wasn’t too happy with the game management but the team was clearly knackered and overall it’s a very good win to keep the momentum going.

You can tell one team outran Liverpool by 7km a couple days ago and the other had a week off. All things considered (this being their cup final) we didn't do too badly

Yeah I think that’s the only reason we dropped so deep. They were knackered. A lot of players in that side recovering from covid.
