Chelsea are sloppy, and we are stronger in duels than them.

Long way to go but winnable match if we put in the effort.

Aside from the VAR nonsense it was another fairly average performance from us.

Front three not offering much of anything. Which considering there is about 200m quid of talent up top is pretty disappointing.

VAR can't give a yellow card. I assume they thought it wasn't enough to give a red but equally he couldn't just get away with it. So by giving a red and telling the ref to go to the monitor, it allowed the ref to review and produce a yellow. It's a shite system but probably the right outcome.
So you're saying it's now okay for VAR to use the giving of a red as an excuse for a ref to go to the monitor? They either get involved or they don't. Either way, they fucked up because it should have been two yellows if not a straight red.

Don't get why all the niggle is happening, a lot of it from our side, just concentrate on playing some fucking football. I don't know about anyone else but I'm not impressed at all with players who show the most urgency and energy when it comes to the handbags rather than the actual game.

We'll get Spurs fans whining about the red card decision, personally I think Ziyech was a lucky boy - though it was an intended shove on the shoulder it did ride up a bit towards the face/neck and made contact - but lets not ignore that Emerson gets a dumb booking and then immediately serves up an outrageous dive that deserved a second one in itself.

A lot of them would be a damn sight better off concentrating on controlling and passing a football, rather than focusing on who to pick a fight with.

Royal needs to cut that out of his game for sure. When I thought Skipp may have given away a penalty early on the first thing I thought was that we were a man down in that moment because Royal stayed down pretending to be injured.

Just seen it on Sky Go.
To me looks like Ziyech did nothing that Lenglet didn’t do in same incident. Not a red card offence.

Only explanation I can give is , Ref obviously wanted to check again, maybe based on advice from one of his assistants, and only way he can do that is to give a red, as VAR obviously thought was not a red card offence, so wasn’t going to invite him over to look. By giving the Red he was then able to look at monitor, and rightly overturn it.

Whole things a joke, ref had the yellow out to book him for the challenge and then he throws a hand afterwards (y)

You can see the ref is going to book Ziyech for the initial foul, then a yellow/red for the slap on Emerson. How on earth has he come out of that still on the pitch?

Disgusting officiating this league is a shambles. Ziyech probably go on and score. And these commentators are toeing the line, they can fuck off too.
My thoughts exactly.

hopefully me putting money on it will stop it happening

If Emerson got a yellow for his tackle then surely Ziech should be given his second yellow when he retaliates?

Yellow for the tackle
2nd yellow for the push.

2 yellows can be given with very little time elapsing in between.

HZ basically gets one of the above for free.
He wasn't getting a yellow for the tackle, how hard is it to understand. Havertz was getting the yellow for swiping at Richarlison before Ziyech came in.

That why Havertz got a yellow as he was hardly involved in the scuffle.

Lots of good situations, unfortunately the main man is having an off day so far. Kulu looking quite lively.

Get the feeling that might not be the last time we see a red coming out…

What a farce of a referring decision: if you raise your arm to an opponent and especially connect its a straight red end of. I don’t care if he connected with his shoulder first, it’s a red. Fuming. Half time has come at a good time as it could’ve boiled over even more. The refereeing in this country is not just bad it’s so questionable at times, what on earth goes through their heads. Hopefully they reset at half time and don’t play into the Chelsea tactics of shithousery, their goalkeeper as well has wasted over 45 seconds on each goal kick or dead ball situation.
Joke refereeing & VAR in this country, just ruins football.

Watched the Madrid derby yesterday & the Atleti player was sent off for elbowing that c... Rudiger in the chest.
That decision wasn't even referred to VAR.
