2 points dropped. Werner for Richy should have happened sooner. Gio should have come on for Maddison rather than Deki who was poor once again.

The starting midfield 3 played well together imo, Bentancur looked more like his old self and Bissouma was good.

Brennan, wow I've been wrong about him, he just gets his role in the front 3 better than anyone else. Great movement for the goal and a few nice balls across that Timo should have been in there for.

Son struggled, for a player with such a good long shot he seems completely reluctant to just get it out his feet and shoot when in the 20 yard range.

All the back 5 played pretty good I think, Vicario with some massive saves.

I thought the first 20 minutes, we looked very good. Then the game ebbed and flowed and we were unable to carve too much out during our periods on top. West Ham adapted to our shape and nullified our approach.

Agree with many that Ange’s subs weren’t great, but you win some, you lose some. He’s far more proactive than many of our recent managers so I’m often just glad to see him try something early-ish.

Considering our last match was underwhelming and the one before it was terrible, that was a decent enough performance and result (at this stage in our evolution) at a difficult place for us to go to.

Johnson MOM.

Liked Bentancur and would give him the chance to build on that against Forest

I’d go along with all that. Surprised every coach doesn’t crowd out Vic at corners. Vic didn’t deal with it, neither did Ange, this has to change.

We also now have a problem with Ange trying to give Kulu opportunities when his play does not merit these. Leave JM on, or replace him with Gio.

Good point though, all in all

Johnson was MOTM.

Bissouma looking better, Bentancur as well.

Think Porro is less effective in attack these days.

Werner, assist aside, needs to gamble more....too static when Johnson was flashing in some great balls to the far post.

Ovrerall its a decent enough point, but I think we',ll need the win away at Newcastle now. Obviously have to the business against Forrest first.

Vicario really has issues with inswinging corners, what are our coaches doing we look so exposed on opponents set pieces and lack any threat on ours.

Romero was solid although thought he could have moved the ball quicker at times. VDV was solid apart from that miss on Antionio which could have cost us the game. Porro and Udogie functional games.

Biss much improved again, thought Bent and Madd quite laboured moving the ball and never really played any telling balls. Thought these guys were efficient but uninspiring.

Werner off to a great start but then drifted out as WH reacted to his threat and covered his side, Son just looked lost and never maintained the CF position. Johnson another good performance and great run for goal.

No idea why Kulu came on for Madds, he added nothing. I liked what PEH did in his cameo looked forward with his passing. Sarr was efficien. GLC should have been on earlier rather than Kulu, just don’t get it.

Set piece coach needs a rocket. Overall draw fair result, hard to pass through a low block and we Didn’t have the quality on the day and too reluctant to shoot.

Just seen the ratings on BBC website, apparently Bissouma was rated the worst of our starting 11 with Son 4th best???
What planet are theses people on?

Bissouma had a good game. Him, VDV,Vic and Johnson I would give 7.5's. Porro wasn't at his best last night.

You saved me a long post as this is exactly my take. Funny thing is if Werner does his job and attacks far post balls he could have had 3 tap ins and everyone would be talking about how fluent we are in attack. The irony is the only time Werner actually attacked a cross he was offside and took the ball off Sarr who was in a better position.

Overall our shape was pretty good and we got into plenty of dangerous positions, we were just let down by poor execution and decision making in the box

I highly rate Udogie, but he was frustrating last night. Wasn't releasing the ball when presented with the opportunity (mainly with Werner in space [some may argue on last night's showing that was a wise decision]), and was playing lots of risky/wayward passes in dangerous areas.

Average across the board but was a tricky away game.

Would’ve liked to have seen Lo Celso on earlier.

Yea agree, didn’t think he had his best game last night especially in the final 3rd.

Udogie connected well enough with that late effort but was straighf down the keepers throat.

Left or right by a few feet and it wins us the game :(
