Didn't wanna say it before cos seemed stupid since we were winning all those games in a row, but I don't personally think Toby has been at the level he was before he got injured. To me he hasn't really looked fit, looks almost sluggish at times. Today he was diabolical. Jan has looked much the better player since Toby came back.

I just wonder if he isn't 100% fit. Again it seems stupid because of all the clean sheets but he is so so good and personally I just don't think he's been at that level for a couple of months.

Jesus wept fiercely- every team loses eventually. Yes it was disappointing, yes we hate losing to West Ham, yes it just confirmed we aren't going to win the league, but fucking hell, losing is part of the game too. We've had a great season and in all likelihood will finish second. Did Poch fuck up? Maybe. But he's done a fucking good job and he's still learning.
We've just come off a nine game wining bounce- I never anticipated that two years ago. It hurts but I'm still proud of how this team has performed this season.
If it was going to happen it was going to be tonight...for me Vic was the only performance of note.

Dembele was clearly needed and considering Poch was so proactive against Palace at HT, his reluctance/stubbornness to either make the necessary switch or change the formation dropping Eriksen further back was extremely frustrating and ultimately played into West Ham's hands.

Yes, our options are limited but there was still an awful lot he could do with the personnel he had tonight.
We don't know who was carrying injuries I guess. But his subs were late/strange. We need more from the players on the pitch solving problems though. That's what great teams do, at the moment we're a very good team, but we need that nous to go up a level.

Well luckily we've got the finale at the Lane to get the players geed up again.Win that clinch 2nd and they'll relax a bit;.
To be honest, may main concern is for us to beat Utd and win the final ever game at the Lane now

Or at least avoid defeat and go the whole season undefeated there

Would be fitting

Yeah, exactly. United playing on a Thursday night will help too, I guess.

When Moussa Sissoko is your best player, despite the fact he was an unused sub, tells you everything you need to know about the performances of our players tonight.

Agreed - our decision making was below par tonight along with either constantly forcing balls through gaps that were rapidly closed by a West Ham player or Toby with his radar going haywire literally spraying balls nowhere near anyone to properly latch onto.

Eriksen was the key man here to control the tempo and but just wasn't 'at it' tonight. Alli couldn't conjure anything much in such limited space and Kane was particularly poor for me.

Waiting for BC to post to find out what I think.

Lloris played well and Wanyama OK (7)
Dele(6) fizzed occasionally and Eriksen(6) but neither took hold of the game
Son, Kane, Dier (all 5)will have to watch the full match download to see if they did anything
Davies (6) got into good positions as did Walker(5) but nothing happened.
Vertonghen(6) and especially Toby looked rattled at times(5)
Poch(5) seemed to hope our momentum would carry us over the line.

Janssen 5, Dembele 5 Trippier 6(ish)

These ratings are for this match against W:Ham
not a comment on our tremendous season (9.5)
or our unbeaten run(9.25) or our performances at home (9.25)
Just this game.We were generally sluggish, uninspired and uninspiring.

Going to bed have apologised to the cat, the wife and visiting Mother-in Law.
will send the neighbours a bottle of Whisky in case these thin walls
didn't contain my after match boorishness.

One point for second lads. But that's for another day

I still see Poch in the same way I do the likes of Dele. Fantastic and on their way to stardom but not quite there yet. His subs are really odd at times and he needs to work on it. I think he's messed around with the formation a bit too much at times, sometimes it's been because of injuries to be fair. He's on his way to being a title winning manager but he's not quite there yet. Conte is a title winning manager, he's just that little bit better right now. Poch will learn and get there I'm sure but there's a few things managerially he needs to fine tune.

Lloris - 5 Made a decent save and came out well versus Lanzini but he gets marked down for his distribution. It is woeful and regularly puts us under pressure.

Walker - 5 Got caught out a few times and was clumsy on the ball.

Alderweireld 5 - Struggled today and his passing was awful

Vertonghen 6 - DIdn't do much wrong

Davies 6 - Didn't create much but put his foot in and didn't do much wrong.

Dier 4 - Struggled in midfield. Passing wasn't great.

Wanyama 4 - I don't see why he gets a high rating. Passing was poor, got caught a few times and didn't even break up much play. Was poor.

Son 4 - Didn't feature much in the game.

Alli 4 - Was Anonymous

Eriksen 4 - Created fuck all and his set pieces are pony.

Kane 4 - Really struggled. Didn't hold it up at all and was bullied by the centre backs.

'twernt that bad except for the result. honestly, I was impressed the Wham was able to press like they did for 95 minutes. I kept waiting for them to tire.

MOTM Lanzini, btw. Even before he scored I was thinking he is the only player they have who'd make our bench.

How did West Ham line up? It was hard to tell at the game but looked almost Like 6 at the back. They seem to do us tactically under billic. They sit deep, block our crosses and through balls and hit balls behind our high line, seems to work quite well, why does no one else do that to us.

they looked like they had 12 outfield players at times tonight because they were all so deep and pressed so well. I actually counted once to be sure.
