But does it. We don't know that. You have no idea how much attention 'Arry pays to detail. He has an outer persona, that is all you know...presented via the media (maybe even carefully packaged by he media).

But SP we're discussing VDV's interview not HR's verbal outpourings . OK we ignore HRs persona but the VDV interview is a different insight into the clubs workings given on the man's home turf away from club's immediate influence .

I don't think VDV was lying .

I have made several posts on VDV's statements and shown that most ofwhat you, BC etc are discussing are inferences and not facts. Perhaps you should read them and you would have a better insight into my opinion on this.

But at the point we played them, FSW hadn't actually changed an awful lot. And they've been hit horrificially with injuries. I'm not defending it, it's just an odd stance. A team doesn't get that shit that quickly. Christ, it took Ramos at least 6 months to undo all the good work Jol did.

*oooh, who's gonna bite on that one*

Serie A - Eto'o headbutt adds to Inter woes

Inter Milan's crisis intensified on Sunday with a 2-1 defeat at Chievo, where Samuel Eto'o committed a Zinedine Zidane-like headbutt that could result in a lengthy suspension.

Inter president Massimo Moratti gave coach Rafael Benitez his backing after last weekend's derby defeat by leaders AC Milan, but another loss has left the Spaniard exposed with the champions now nine points off top spot.

Eto'o was not cautioned by the referee for his headbutt, but the Cameroon striker could be punished retrospectively.

He scored Inter's consolation goal late on after Sergio Pellissier and Davide Moscardelli put Chievo two up.

"It's clear after a defeat no one is happy but the only thing I can say is the players worked hard and the reaction in the second half on an awful pitch was the reaction we expect," a solemn Benitez, whose side have taken two points from four games, told Sky.

"What Eto'o did is not something good but he took a punch first and it was provocation. He lost a bit of control, that's clear."

Yes sloth, noone is saying that our club has bad managers/coaches its just that some of us aspire to be at the top (whether thats unrealistic or not is another question)

...and near the top clubs start paying extra attention to the tiny details that can make the difference between success and failure .

I love the idea that our boys turn up , have a plate of fish 'n chips before a match ,Harry just says go out there do your best lads and because our players are so swashbucklingly good , we win the league .(for pedants this is a humourous fantasy with a grain of truth)

The problem is that the template of success is often attention to detail ,even obsessive attention to detail and I'm sure we'd all like to think that we don't step on to the park at a disadvantage in terms of preparation .

This is the concern that has been amplified by the VDV interview .

What a huge, steaming, semi-literate pile of horsecrap from a 'supporter' who never fails to rush in to defend the Manchego Muppet's beyond-pisspoor record.

This tosh makes very little sense at all. Nothing new there, then.
