City took foot off the gas slightly then went back on it. Soon as it was 6, Pep saw chance to give players a run out.

Don't think United deserved 3 goals but City had settled for 6 by then
Make no mistake, game won or not, Pep will be annoyed to concede 3 goals and especially those last 2 garbage time ones.

this sport is f**king done. no way anyone could compete with those financially doped clubs unless becoming one of them

It’s a bit sad that this is what it has come to. City can buy anyone they want, so there will never be a weakness. Gone are the days when the PL used to be competitive. City have created a football monopoly as every world class player will want to play for them and pep. How can anyone else compete?

Disappointed in Shiteh. Took their foot off the gas pedal in the second half.

Golden rule, you don't just grind down the opposition you should also psychologically murder them if given the chance.

I agree that right now it's doom and gloom, you always look for hope and it's a massive bummer.

It felt that way 20-odd years ago when the Russian took over at Chelsea and it felt that way when United, Arsenal and Chelsea were pretty much guaranteed to share the title and CL places between them. It's down to other clubs to find a way and to improve but that's no real consolation. It goes in cycles, this one, in time, will end too.

But generally, yeah, the money is the overriding factor. When Newcastle kick on the 'mini-league' fighting for 2nd to 4th will be competitive enough and is about all there is to hope for right now.

But you never know, if you're looking for a glimmer of hope, City are one injury away from coming back to the pack a bit I suppose.

It's going to take a monumental cash crisis amongst the double caked and dodgy owners in football to level the playing field.

Liverpool won the league not so long ago without being doped, and they won the CL too, which City haven’t won. Liverpool also came 2nd by 1 point wasn’t it?

Arsenal also sit top of the league currently.

Good management is equally as important and Pep won’t be there forever; he’s just as critical to their success.

What you have to do is look after your own performances. We beat City twice last season… if we win our other games last season against the teams that didn’t win the league…

City are obviously operating on cheat mode with their financial doping, but you have to give them some credit for spending the money in a very canny way. They don’t really buy ready made superstars (Haaland the exception) and they make clubs who also spend shitloads, like United, look embarrassing in the process.

I think you missed my point.

Some people seems to be saying we/teams can’t compete with City because they’re doped.

Those comments are being made at this point of this season, not at the end. Me pointing out Arsenal are top is based on the same time period.

Just look after your own performances.

We’ve shown we’re capable of beating City numerous times.

We aren’t ceding possession and looking ropey because ‘city are doped’. It’s because of our own choices and the fact our recruitment was poor for a number of seasons first and foremost imo.

I get that. I'm saying being top now means nothing to prove your point.
City are where they are now because they've been financially doped, not because they're well run.
Take away the money and they'll disappear.
Newcastle will be regular top 4 soon and it wont because they just stumbled on the right manager and are well organised.
To suggest its not all about the money is laughable when history has proved it so clearly is.
