We must put all our efforts in replacing him, but I think it’s looking more and more unlikely.

I know. Which is a complete bummer. What do you do with a player like that? They're basically flipping the bird to the coaching staff and have made themselves toxic, as far as any potential suitors are concerned. Really is irritating.

Best we can hope for, is maybe in a deal for another midfielder, we can send him on loan to the other team. Personally, I think he'd do much better in Italy, as the pace of their games is a bit slower than PL. They rely more more on structure and guile. He can't offer anything defensively, but if you give him a roaming '10' role behind a couple of attackers, he could be very good. Sadly, he just doesn't fit Nuno's blueprint; which is to have a hard charging, very fit, athletic team and grinds the opposition into the ground. That requires every player in the pitch to be pulling in the same direction. So, if you have one who is basically ignoring what the coach wants him to do, that has a highly negative impact on everyone else.

Have you seen WLB's ITK in the Auoar thread? He's saying that we've had the deal lined up for months and it's up to Fabio to pull the trigger. That's a ready-made Ndombele replacement ready to go, we just need to find the club to take Tanguy.

IMO we should subsidize his wages if need be, the player we'd be replacing him with will be on vastly lower wages so we could afford it. He's a massive talent but just not suited physically or psychologically for the Premier League midfield battle. I hope we do everything we can not to waste the year we're getting out of Harry, and for me that means moving on from the erratic Ndombele.

Cant think of any other profession that rewards this sort of behaviour - it's despicable for someone on 200k a week (apparently)

Difference is no other profession outside of sports can literally put a £££ value on you and sell you to a rival firm for a fee or have a rival firm pay another firm to buy their staff for a fee.

Not that im defending it, but thats they way it is and allowed in this business of football

Although he wants out, I've got a feeling that the club is really only putting him out there to say to him "See, we're trying to sell you!" in order to appease him and his entourage. But in reality, we have no intent to sell for less than we bought him for. With the current market, nobody is paying what Levy would want (similar to Kane). Just doesn't seem like Levy to sell a young player like TN for a significant loss. Contrary to popular belief, I predict that he's with us this season and will be reintegrated into the squad after deadline day.

If his mate arrives maybe that might change things. As a duo they were incredible.
I had exactly the same thought - not sure how close they were tho, and also if Siss and Aurier are moving on then a fellow countryman could help him settle. (I know I'm grasping but there's a helluva talent in there)

It’s such a shame the Chinese market is not available anymore to dump him in. A complete waste of money. Yes he has talent but a shocking work ethic and professionalism.

Critique all you want but for the love of God, he is not being selected because he asked to leave the club, that’s all.

Not because he’s lazy, not because he doesn’t train as hard as others, not because he’s on 200k a week and draining our resources, not because he posted an emoji. Simply because he asked to leave the club.

It’s getting tiring reading the same thing over and over again and to see it thrown out as a response to pretty much anything positive in this thread.

Whether he stays or goes, he asked to leave for a reason. We will probably never know this reason so please stop speculating and insulting him because he wants to leave our beloved club. It’s life. Kane did way worse and people are already sucking him off again.

with Kane staying , if we managed to sign Adama and Ndombele isn’t managed to be moved on, I will be getting a bit excited about the season. In Tungay sees Kane staying and changes his stance…. We could have a frightening attacking line up
Tangy is not someone we want in our squad his attitude reeks.

Why should anyone listen to this? It has no more substance than people saying he’s lazy?

You want this to be true but it’s got no more evidence than those saying his attitude is crap.

This level of virtue signalling has become tiresome, it would be better off closing the thread. The two sides aren’t going to budge.

Tanguy will turn it around. Yes he’s had these issues before but he’s also had to take a step down and come back better in France. He will fix his issues with us and will be a key player.

Simply put. No. He had a tantrum when he joined and that was worked around by the club. He never really put in 100% and I suspect it’s not in his locker, mentally he is weak. He needs to either work his fat arse off to get in the team or foxtrot oscar to whatever team still wants to accommodate his lazy ways. It’s itching at me, he’s lazy and in my team he would get 2 warnings then my foot up his Arse. Bye bye tanguy.

You do realise Kane pissed all over everything “he’s done for the club”? Much worse so than Tanguy?

Means absolutely Jack shit when he showed no loyalty. But that’s not for this thread, and I was comparing their situations in terms of wanting to leave only, not achievement.

So why was Kane picked on the bench when he wanted to leave but Tanguy not?

My post is based on the only fact we have which is he asked to leave. So I don’t know what other evidence you were looking for?

I do echo your last paragraph though, most are spitting poison in here and on the other hand God forbid you try see things from Tanguy’s perspective either. It’s a pointless exercise.

Partially as a bargaining tactic I'd imagine. We needed to show City we were fine keeping Kane. With Tanguy it's the other way around - we want to sell and can't find buyers. I think he probably will end up staying and at least get some chances under Nuno, but only because there doesn't seem to be real interest in him.

I see it differently. Kane has given his absolute all day in day out for 7 years for this club and he’s scored hundreds of goals, important ones at that and won us tons of matches, tangy has been here 2 years, he’s barely completed one 90 minutes, he’s been sulking from day 1, he’s had 3 managers now who’ve for one reason or another not picked him mainly due to him not being up to speed fitnesswise etc, I have no time for Tangy at all.

What Kane did recently was wrong but he has a hell of a lot of credit in the bank, Tangy has none and continues to offer nothing.
