I could easily have been a Leeds or Newcastle fan if I'd gone with family allegiances when I was a kid, or bowed to peer pressure and just been a Man U fan like a few of my mates were. And that trophy stick people beat us with can go right up their rear's; Even though when I started following Spurs we used to win them all the time. Spurs always had a bit of magic to them, like a Gazza or a Ginola, a Berbatov or a Bale, that kept me long past many other kids might've given up.This reminds me that despite all the dark times we had in the 90s, we also had some magical players. Klinsmann, and Ginola especially, were the epitome of players you would “pay to go watch”.
