I covered this in my post. He was fine against Villa but Villa offered absolutely nothing in the second half. They were shot after the Ajax game.He was poor against villa in your opinion?

Not a single poster (including yourself) asked for Davies over Dragusin before the game.We needed left footed CB and Micky has been great, his back up should be left footed and so far Ben is only one who can fill the boots. Radu might be great competition for Romero, but not for Micky
He’s a full fledged international footballer and has played more league games in his career than Micky Van De Ven who is only 2 months older than him. You could see from the get go that VDV was built for the league, Dragusin isn’t.He’s 22 years old, give him 200 minutes at least before writing him off.

Point is he's new to the league, new to this country and new to playing in this kind of gung ho system. It's not going to happen over night.I have no issue calling myself out on past shit-takes on players (there’s been plenty) but I’m yet to see anything to make me think he’s cut out for the PL. He’s looked poor in every cameo he’s made before today. Perhaps you could argue his case against a tiring Villa where VDV was arguably MOTM before coming off. I can recall him being quite fortunate to not give away a penalty in the closing stages against Everton and against Man Utd he inexplicably ducked under a cross which McTominay somehow put over the crossbar. He was poor today and should absolutely take a large chunk of the blame for our loss.

I'd like to report a murder. He hasn't played more league games in his career than van de Ven. Micky has played 106, and Radu 93.
Unless you mean top flight games.
Except he hasn't played more top flight league games in his career than van de Ven either. Micky has played 55, and Radu 45.
Apart from that, your post was spot on.
Apart from misspelling fully fledged
And van de Ven.
And judging a player after one full game.
That’s fair, but it’s also fair to say he had a poor game. He's started one game in the Premier league after relocating to a different country. Had the settled experienced players pulled their collective fingers out, it wouldn't have been the baptism of fire it turned out to be. He's the last one I'm blaming for today's debacle.
I didn’t have you down as being overscrupulous but here we are.He hasn't played more league games in his career than van de Ven. Micky has played 106, and Radu 93.

Yes, excellent. My favourite Tottenham player.Ben Davies: Wales and Tottenham's reluctant star

A Good read.

If we've identified him as having the fundamentals required to play for Ange, we've got to give him a minute to acclimatise.
You could see from his first game that Porro wasn’t built for this league. He’s a full fledged international footballer and has played more league games in his career than Micky Van De Ven who is only 2 months older than him. You could see from the get go that VDV was built for the league, Dragusin isn’t.

I didn’t think Dragusin was anywhere near as bad in his first start as Porro was. There is a lot to work with and I think he’ll be good for us. Out hit rate in recent times has been really good, we’ve just been spoiled by the likes of Vic and Udogie who have been magic since game 1.
As for Davies, I love the dude. Proper professional, never lets us down and is wildly underrated. If VDV is a long term absence we have to decide if in the run in we go with the more raw Dragusin or the more steady Davies. If we are hunting top 4 Davies might be the choice but I imagine Ange will always look long term.
If there’s a way for us to back out of that Porro deal, we absolutely need to. He is complete and utter garbage.
