Dreading him vs Saka today, he will either jockey him back into our box or drop 5 yards behind the rest of our backline and play them onside. Doesnt have the pace or aggression and will be targeted relentlessly.

Think you remember his decent center back performances and make the mistake to think he's still a good left back. Hope he's allowed to focus on staying back, not leave too much room. Let Porro go crazy on other side in stead.

Davies has been sick this season. He's got this. As my man Expressions says, Saka is Victor Moses with G.C.S.E’s
He is an Average slow left back who.is only just prem quality against any decent guile and pace he needs saving constantly and always has. Should never be put in this game.

Never been his biggest fan but todays game probably not the one to have too much of a go at him. Problem is not being in Europe and out the cups so early, our squad/players hardly get any minutes under there belt. Davies struggles against quick, tricky players at the best of times, having to start when he has hardly played and that in a derby against one of the best wide players in the league was never going to end well.

In the longer term, he isn't suited to this style of play and at 31 years of age, it won't get better. Best to move him on this summer and look to the future.

Great servant and pretty sure he'll go in the summer. Harsh leaving him exposed against saka like that

The issue we have is that you simply would never pick him over Udogie. Next season we need players who are genuine competition. Enough of this good enough cover nonsense.

He should stay as CB cover. The goal was not only his fault. Look at several players jogging back. And VdV was staring at the ball instead of what was behind him. So Davies didn't get any cover. Saka would have done the same thing vs better left backs with the lack of cover from the team mates.

Even at centre back he will not have the recovery pace. I think we need to seriously consider selling him rather than wait for him to continue getting worse. He's been a great servant but he is one of the last of the old generation who needs to make way.

I’d like to move him on.

He’s not fast enough or good enough for how Ange wants to play.

Frankly he’s never been good enough for what we need if we are serious but as a squad player for a top 6-8 side he’s been fine but we want to be much more than that now, no room for sentiment.

Thank you Ben but goodbye.
